"Excellent hotel, very clean and polite staff. Zicatela main beach area was only about 7 min walk.
They just need better tv and internet.
It never worked properly. TV was to small and had no streaming. All show had snow. So you could not warch property. We had to use our phone and our own cell wifi. "

Puerto is wonderful, with different areas that have very different character. It's worth researching the options, from more quiet Bachoco to very vibey La Punta, before you decide where to focus your stay.

Sunsets over the beaches and relaxed vibe made this our favourite beach destination in Mexico.

It's got very powerful waves, a strip that's full of clubs for music and dancing. There are not an abundance of places to eat but the ones that we've visited were good. We went out dancing one night and had a great time.

Lots to do. Bird watching and whale/dolphin watching were extraordinary. Mexican Dreamweavers are worth a visit!

Taxis are expensive for the distance (80-150 pesos for a 10 minute drive) and they will absolutely overprice you if you look like a tourist. Haggle. No real public transport - just the back of pickup trucks that prob don't go where you need to go.

Young people stay at Zicatela or La Punta. These apartments were perfect for an evening drink by the pool, or for privacy during the day. The

Es un hermoso lugar 100% turístico sin embargo falta mucha inversión en infraestructura, no hay baños decentes en las playas por ejemplo.

Such a chill place. Really great energy, friendly people, good prices, not too crazy with the party scene.

I've been visiting Puerto Escondido for 10+ years. It has changed a lot, and most of that in only the last few years. It feels like it's trying to recreate Tulum... Which it's not. Hopefully they work on sustainability as it is less and less each day

The city is currently in an early tourism boom so just be expecting construction throughout. Hotels going up everywhere!
"The property had a great ambiance. I was grateful there was a pool because it was quite warm and humid during our stay in July. The staff was amazing and the food we ate there was amazing!! Especially the coconut shrimp tacos!!! Sebastian was the bartender was excellent and made the best drinks!! I can’t wait to return!!"
"great for the price. gave a feeling of old and rustic in a charming way. no a/c in the room i rented but the ceiling fan was perfect and hi-speed. staff was very nice. only 15 min walk to playa zicatela."
"Love the Hotel, excellent location, friendly staff, Lety in the swimming pool area always made sure we had everything we needed. Perfect for relaxing. Only a few steps from the beach and walking distance to many bars and restaurants along Zicatela beach."
"A quiet, clean and peaceful place, with a helpful staff. I came to do some writing and enjoy the beach a bit. Very well-suited for a personal retreat: could happily stay longer.
There's a charming bookstore attached to the property, run by the partner of the owner."
"It was a very nice property. Nice beach. Very nice staff. The upper cliffside pool was closed for maintenace. However, they were working on updating the appearance, which it needed. "
