A comfortable, bright and charming 3-bedroom holiday home, decorated to create a calming and homely atmosphere, you'll feel settled in and relaxed from the minute you arrive - Welcome to Leave of Absence!

Equipped with some of those holiday must-haves including Fibre WiFi to keep you connected and a Nespresso machine to help you start each day with air-conditioning for summer stays and a heat pump to keep you warm in winter. Glass doors in the lounge open onto the sheltered patio, garden and dedicated outdoor dining and BBQ area.

Enjoy the downtime in the great outdoor area with fruit trees, a herb garden and a waterfall or head out to explore the local activities, you're an easy 7-minute drive from the airport and the Avonhead Mall. Within 20mins drive is Hagley Park and Christchurch Botanic Gardens, both known for being a beautiful place to walk or cycle through. The Banks Peninsula, is just over an hours drive, for a day of dolphin watching.

Never stay here First of all after confirmation no direct number was given Lock box is like a treasure hunt ( if you are tired and looking to rest you will not find it The lock box code was wrong so be aware that you need to call a lot of people who will in turn call a lot of people to get you the right code Be prepared to be cold ( heat pump only give you cold air and wall heaters are temperamental Coffee machine had moulds growing Kettle had lots of rust If you want to cook be prepared to get empty dishwashing liquid bottle The cleaning spray was empty so you can’t really wipe the surfaces Washing machine was smelly Dryer was never clean No book for any recommendations I am a traveler and I came with my family but very very very disappointing I have Stayed at a lot places but never had so many things wrong at one place Very unhygienic

A hidden gem. Exceeded expectations
This place looked ok on the photos but when we arrived we realised we has stumbled on a real gem! Very clean and tidy and oh so stylishly decorated. All the amenities and fittings were high quality and location was ideal for our wee break in Christchurch. I don't want to rave too much... others may enjoy it as much as us making it difficult to book in the future!
