Our son and his fiancé got married and we wanted to stay close to the venue, close to King Street, and in a place with the charm of Charleston. This place hit ALL THREE of those! Easily walkable to food, drinks, shopping, and nightlife - and BEAUTIFUL!! So nicely appointed and maintained there were multiple old fireplaces, natural wood floors, high ceilings, top end appliances and gorgeous restrooms. It was such an enjoyable property - we LOVED IT!!
This unit is exactly as listed and fit our needs perfectly. Nicely decorated, very comfortable and an easy walk to King Street. The communication with the owner was excellent and they were always attentive. We would definitely stay here again.
This property is extremely adorable. So well, remodeled and space used so wisely. We enjoyed the location, although it was a 1.3 mile walk to the Market, we just spent time enjoying stores all the way there. The exterior noises were drowned out well with the sound machines in the room. Kitchen had ample cookware for cooking our breakfast. Beds were on the firm side but very comfortable. The second bedroom lacks clothing storage space and anywhere in the bathroom to put toiletry items. I gave a basket that was in the large bedroom and bathroom to my friend so she would have someone to out some items. The house does have a slight mildew smell and we all had to wash even our unworn clothing items when we got home because they were holding the smell. Overall, we would consider staying here again without hesitation.

Great location & nice but overpriced
This unit is well located, didn’t really even need a car. It is well appointed from furniture to appliances to decor. The bathrooms are small as other reviewers have stated, bathroom vanities are barely large enough to occupy more than a toothbrush. The mirror in the master is SMALL due to the nature of the bathroom, maybe 8” wide. But otherwise very beautifully and tastefully done, preserving the historic elements while making it modern.
However, the reason for 3 starts is b/c the AC unit in the master was not working properly the ENTIRETY of our stay. The first night it made a LOUD buzzing noise, so we turned it off but the noise remained. Even earplugs didn’t help. It was HOT & we got NO sleep. The PM sent someone the next morning to fix that as well as a water pressure issue and said it was repaired.
The 2nd night the unit made an occasional noise but it was nothing compared to the night before and we were able to get some sleep. The 3rd night the noise started back up (still not as loud as the first night but definitely louder than earplugs could handle). The PM told me I should have let them know it wasn’t fixed the night before, which was aggravating. Maybe so but when they told me it was fixed I took their word for it and also didn’t want to be ‘that renter’. That said, of the 4 nights we spent there 2 were fairly sleepless with 2 being okay sleep. For the price we paid I was disappointed in the overall experience.
Great property, good location, walking distance to downtown Charleston was helpful. Atmosphere inside was a lovely mix of rustic restored wood, original brick details and refined, modern cozy. The ambiance was charming, clean, and comfortable. Rare to find a place that is so well-equipped while having such a warm, inviting feel. Each bedroom had its own small kitchenette, making it easy for one guest to be up, making coffee without disturbing other guests- a definite plus. We did not need extras, but there was pack n play, extra air mattress, high chair and other amenities in house, not usually included. Host was quick to respond and accommodating. We will definitely come back to this property.
We loved our stay at Eclipse! The property is clean spacious and quite inviting. The location is safe and close to King Street which is lined with shops, restaurants & bars. Excellent if you want to walk anywhere OR grab an uber. The whole group enjoyed this wonderful experience! Thank you!
This house is in a terrific location. The interior is beautiful and the beds are comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and would go back. Was great in both form and function.
We loved our stay in Charleston. Our apartment was perfect for two couples. It was cozy and clean and in a great location for exploring the wonderful sites and enjoying Charleston cuisine. Thank you for your hospitality!
Awesome stay! Our family spent 4-5 nights here and were able to walk almost everywhere. Private (albeit snug) parking was an added bonus! Laundry was convenient and the interior of place was amazing! Thank you!
The rooms are wonderfully done with a recent remodel. The place has been decorated beautifully. The bathrooms are clean and bright. The beds are comfortable. The communication was seamless. The only issue with the place is that like most 135 year old structures, there is limited sound proofing. You can hear every step made upstairs. You hear your next door neighbor coughing. You can hear the louder cars drive by on the street. Earplugs would solve the issue or if you are a sound sleeper. I am not, so struggled a bit. Otherwise it’s a five star review for sure.
This property was amazing! Clean, cozy and spacious! Now that I know we could rent another room that connects, we will definitely stay here again when we visit Charleston!
The property was clean and well appointed. Comfortable beds and well stocked amenities were a blessing after walking the downtown area. Parking is convenient, but tight for larger vehicles. We had no issues with parking an Escalade. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Property was nicely decorated. Bathroom were small, not alot of room for tolietries. Quiet & peaceful location. Parking a large car or SUV is tricky. Overall accommodations met our expectations. Great value for your buck.
Traveled with friends for a 50th birthday - our first time to Charleston. What a delightful city and wonderful property. David was the ultimate host! So gracious and helpful, and put up with all of my questions in real-time. The property is wakable to just about everything from King Street and French Quarter. Property as described and a charming stay. Book here - you won't regret it!
The only issue we had was to sound from the other units. The tv is one unit was the same wall as the head of my bed. In addition, we could hear most of the conversations from the upstairs unit. It wasn’t that the people were being particularly loud, but there isn’t much insulation between the units.
As an Airbnb Superhost myself, I can honestly vouch for the most excellent care and attention taken by the team managing this property to ensure that we had everything we needed! All communication was clear and prompt and the place itself was a stunner. We were extremely comfortable and had plenty of room for a combination of work and relaxation. The proximity to Upper King Street for walks, stores, and restaurants and even more throughout the neighborhood was ideal! You will not regret it if you stay here!
There are different units in the house. Keep in mind, college students in the area, so night time noise you may hear them.
Easy to walk to King St and beyond.
Well appointed kitchen, comfortable furnishings. I gave 5 stars for communication, but never had to.
Wished I'd stayed in a downtown hotel, for equal cost and good night's sleep
Great location if you will Uber or walk to downtown Charleston, but not if you rent a car. The driveway and parking spaces are so small, I struggled to maneuver a Camry. The only other problem was the noisey neighbors who partied most nights we were there, making it hard to sleep. Otherwise, it is a lovely apartment and we enjoyed our stay for a week in Feb.
