"Room was great and well appointed.. hotel team were pleasant.. breakfast was hit and miss .. we realised different chefs were on.. pity no level of consistency.. "

"Very helpful staff reception and in dining areas. Good breakfast and service. Fabulous pool and area which is bookable and therefore for individual use. Room was tired and needed updating. Bunk beds for children definitely need maintenance. Cleanliness in bathroom and other areas could be better. That said bed linen was very good. In all though, great location and can’t praise staff enough for their friendliness. "

"Good food and staff, service a bit slow at times Rooms dated and need good clean, public areas need a revamp, housekeeping staff lacking in skills - asked for room to be serviced each day but had to make our own bed two days running and were left with unwashed mugs and hairs in sink and bath Heating turned off on 1st April, and when we questioned we were given an inadequate heater"

"We were able to check the car into the carpark 2 hrs prior to our check in which was handy. Nice size room but the bathroom door which had transparent glass on the top was opposite the bed meaning to privacy whilst on the loo! The sash windows rattled and one would not lock so we had to ram a piece of cardboard down the side to stop the rattling noise. Comfy bed and pillows. The floorboards were the creakiest I've ever encountered so it was really difficult trying to get to the kettle to make myself a cuppa whilst my husband was sleeping. The bathroom sink was far too small to be of much use but the shower was good. Overall good value for money and a great night's sleep. "

"At the time of this review, the hotel is undergoing significant modernisation, and while the available rooms are awaiting work, it's great to see the investment being put in. The work importantly also doesn't disturb guests, which is reassuring. All the staff we spoke to were very kind and helpful, and the rooms, sheets and towels all nice and clean. The shower in our old room was very fiddly to use and impossible to get the right temperature, and the room was very warm, but this will likely be addressed with renovations."
