Nestled atop a tree-covered ridge, this 6 acre property will give you all the seclusion and tranquility you crave. Sip your morning coffee while listening to the birds, watching the deer, and letting peace and quiet reign. Perfect place for the angler, as we are just a stone’s throw from the entrance of Roaring River and the hatchery. Room for everyone to spread out comfortably! Two large living rooms along with a three 3️⃣ seasons porch and outdoor seating.
In the evening, enjoy time around a fire pit with comfortable outdoor seating.
Beds for 8. Additional sleep spaces for 5 or more guests. Plenty of floor space for sleeping bags, too.

Perfect for a weekend at roaring river. We had 9 adults which I’d say maxed out the bed/couch room but there is plenty of floor space for air mattresses and cots. Over all a really good stay. We’ll be back for sure.

Amazing visit to Roaring River

This house is a perfect oasis and we absolutely loved our stay, we only wish it was the fall so it was cool enough that we could enjoy some of the fabulous outdoor amenities (we still sat outside in the mornings for our coffee). The bedrooms worked well for our adults, and the children were relegated to the den to give them a fun private space. We even had a family game night at the huge dining table using games provided by the home owners. This place is really a diamond for anyone visiting Roaring River!

Roaring River Getaway

This cabin was the perfect place to stay for a weekend getaway for the whole family. It’s convenient location is just up front the roaring river entrance but close enough to town to have a grocery delivery order. The house was fully stocked with just about everything we could think of. It was very family oriented and we had the best time. We plan to return in the near future.

Wonderful place

This is just a perfect place to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of a beautiful place, inside and out. The inside is lovely and comfortable and clean. The outside has wonderful trees and nature. Roaring River State Park is very close and has amazing trout fishing, hiking trails, a nature center, lodge with a dining room. We highly recommend it.

My family tries to get together at Roaring River annually during July/August. This property worked great! The kids liked the outdoor space and loved the closeness of the waterslide. The roominess of the eating area was greatly appreciated, along with the living room and den areas. This location is VERY quiet at night. We would highly recommend this location.

Awesome property!

We had a group of 8 guys stay here for a fishing trip. We usually camp in the park so this was a nice luxury. Especially because a large hail storm rolled through the first night of our stay that knocked power out for the entire valley. Sara stayed in contact with us and even provided an extra propane tank so we could cook our catch for the day. The cabin is very nice and has a lot of character. 10 stars! Thanks Sara!

Overall the property was very spacious and nice. . The kitchen was well equipped with everything to prep and serve meals. Plenty of seating room. The negatives were only having two bathrooms and since it was a split level house there were steps to go from the kitchen to the living room and then the bedrooms.

Great Family Reunion Place

The property was the perfect balance of remote and convenient. We were able to easily go to and from Roaring River or Cassville. Especially Roaring River! We saw deer most mornings and were serenaded by Cardinals, Robins, Fly Catchers, Woodpeckers and even saw a Blue Bird. Squirrels were frequently seen going about their daily routines. The interior is tastefully decorated, warm, comfortable and inviting. Mom liked it so much she wants to return next year.

Yearly Friends Fishing Trip, 2025

Upon pulling in the driveway on Carlisle Ridge we immediately knew this would be a fabulous trip. The seclusion from normal daily life we all undertake daily was a welcome blessing. The home cleanliness was absolutely impeccable. The layout worked great for our group of 4 guys. Plenty of room to sprawl out and relax and the fire pit out back was in use from day 1 until departure! The location to Roaring River for our daily fishing expeditions was incredibly convenient and only minutes away. The owners are very thoughtful folks as the kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans along with plenty of toiletries, laundry soap, dish soap, and daily cleaning items. Overall, as what appears to be a fairly recent VRBO listing I must say that the owners have done incredible with their listing. Hats off to them! We will absolutely be back for years to come. In fact, this was my top favorite VRBO rental ever over many years of trips. Can not wait to come back! Thanks again!

Home away from home!

We had such a great stay at Carlisle Ridge. The location was just perfect for us & the hosts were so communicative and lovely. For me, it was all the little extras that Sara and Lucas, the hosts, thought about. Some of my favorite extras were the k-cups and creamers, the labeled everything that made it so much easier to find, tags for our towel hooks so there was no mix up, extra blankets & pillows, extra toiletries in case we forgot something. We came to spend Thanksgiving with family in the area. This property was the perfect room for our family of 4 + my in-laws. The kitchen is spacious. We cooked some of Thanksgiving food there! It was close to everything we love! Town for restaurants & flea market shopping, close to grocery & Walmart. Right by the waterslide & mini golf! It’s just down the street from Roaring River too. My kids loved to watch the deer and other wildlife, the sunrises over the ridge were spectacular! We can’t wait to come back & plan to make this our “Cassville home”.
