"Everything ready and explained on arrival. The room was of a good size with a very comfortable bed and quality bedding. The only downside was that the room was looking a little “tired”. The included breakfast was of a high quality with plenty on offer - one of the best b&b breakfasts we have had. There is plenty of parking space here and a nice garden area to enjoy."

2 Bedroom Accommodation in Two Acres Of Gardens on edge of village of Blisland

10/10 Excellent
"Due to car trouble we arrived a little bit late. This was no problem and Gerard welcomed us and showed us the cottage. Linda made some delicious scones and some delicous selfmade jams. The cottage is very cosy and clean. All the necessary is present. It is not very spacious, but enough room for our family (2 adults and 2 kids 10 years and 4 years). The garden is really big and outdoor toys are available in the storage room. Also a washing machine and dryer were available to use.Gerard and Linda live in the next door house and if we needed anything they were ready to assist us.Keep in mind, driving in Cornwall is a challenge, as the motorways are very narrow. We had a great stay at Torr House and recommend to stay here."

"Overall, we had a good stay and the property was a great base for exploring the area. The property could do with a little TLC in places, and the standard of cleaning could be improved, as there were quite a few cobwebs with dead flys spiders and dust. grubby in areas. Could do with a good thorough clean. One issue we experienced was the number of flies, particularly at meal times. There is a horse stable directly behind the property, so whenever the windows or doors were open, flies quickly became a problem. We ended up buying fly sticky catches. So could do with a uv electric zapper.Despite these points, we enjoyed our stay and found it to be a convenient base for our stay."

The best time to go to Bodmin is during the late spring and summer months, from May to September, when the weather is generally at its finest for exploring.During this period, you'll experience milder temperatures and longer daylight hours, making it ideal for enjoying Bodmin's outdoor attractions. This includes cycling along the Camel Trail, exploring Bodmin Moor, or visiting the Bodmin Jail Attraction and Bodmin Keep. The warmer weather also makes day trips to the nearby Cornish coast more pleasant. For families, the summer holidays in July and August offer the most opportunities for activities and events tailored to children, such as those at the Bodmin & Wenford Railway or the various nature reserves. However, this is also the busiest time, so booking accommodation and popular attractions in advance is advisable.Couples looking for a more tranquil experience might prefer May, June, or September.
