The perfect get away with beautiful views over the Vale of Strathmore; just 3.5 miles to the town of Blairgowrie. Ideal base for outdoor activities and close to Angus Glens, Glamis Castle, Scone Palace and the new V&A Dundee.
4 golf courses nearby; great walks and cycle friendly roads and path network. Beaches at Lunan Bay and St. Andrews.

Another perfect stay

This was our second stay here at the cottage and we absolutely loved it. Wonderful scenery, nice and quiet location and Liz, the owner, is very helpful indeed. We will definitely be back for a third stay

A Wee Break Away Frim It All

Perfect peace

I had a lovely stay. Liz, the host was excellent with communication and even delivered more logs when I was running low. I would definitely recommend as a perfect "getting away from it all" place.

Absolutely fantastic stay

The most idyllic cottage stay, exactly what I was looking for. Ideal location for quiet walks with my dogs in every direction from the cottage, didn't need to take the car out once! Liz was absolutely amazing, gave me some suggestions for local walks and communicated the check in process and cottage location. We will definitely be back.

Lovely stay

Great little get-away!

Lovely place to stay if you’re looking for a cosy weekend in a rural spot. Weather wasn’t great during our stay but that didn’t matter much as we enjoyed board games by the log fire! The cottage was clean and had everything we needed for a lovely weekend away from the city. Thanks Liz for a very enjoyable stay!

Cosy cottage

Absolutely immaculate cottage tucked away in the middle of the gorgeous countryside but still only 5 minutes away from shops/pubs/takewaway. Liz was very friendly and helpful and answered any questions I had really quickly. I would recommend this cottage to anyone.

Just perfect

This is a little hidden Gem that met all our needs for our short break. Very tranquil. Really blew the cobwebs off our busy lifestyle. There is everythig you need and we will be returning for a longer break soon . Couldn't recommended enough.

Very well appointed, great location, very homely and cozy feeling with great surroundings and fantastic views and walks for dog owners. The personal touch made a great first impression. The log burning stove made for a lovely warming night in playing games.

relax in style

this cottage is exactly what we where looking for total get away from it all. Beautiful old farm cottage from the outside, but when you go inside wow !!!!! its modern its spotless its cosy perfect. The location is great if you like river walks. But also the beaches are really close . Hope to return soon . Thankyou.

Beautiful Cottage and surrounding area

This was a lovely cottage and was very well presented. There were some lovely walks right on our our doorstep and we saw lots of wildlife. We also got to experience almost all potential weather options so we made the best of the sun and even got to use the wood burner one afternoon to dry off! This was a great wee break and just what we needed. Thanks !

A gem In Perthshire

A beautiful cottage in lovely surroundings of farm land. We enjoyed spectacular weather and spent some time in the garden and summer house which was lovely. The location is in easy reach of both Blairgowrie and Alyth, with plenty of walks and places to visit. The cottage was spotless, and had everything for our short stay. Liz, the host, made sure we had all our check in instructions and was easily contactable with prompt replies. Highly recommend this gem of a place in a beautiful part of Scotland.

Beautiful, stylish, cottage in a blissful setting

Did not disappoint! Photos can sometimes be misleading as to how truly isolated a property can be but this beautiful cottage is in the middle of a number of ajdoining agricultural fields with views to die for. Still accessable by car, however we didnt take the car out once as you will wnat to walk or simply hunker down with the fire in the thoughtfully decorated and updated thick walled cottage. Everything was pristine, plenty of room for ourselves and the dog, enormous accessable shower room and the garden and summerhouse a treat. You get the benefit of sunrises and sunsets and nice fresh linens and decor. Loved it!

Lovely cottage with stunning views

The cottage is spacious enough for two adults, well equipped and clean. The furnishings were of a good quality and comfortable and the quality of the bed linen was good. The outlook is superb, although access was a bit difficult at the time of our stay, but this wasn't anything that the host could do anything about. Privacy was an issue as there are walking paths around the cottage and they were well used by dog walkers during our stay. The garden was well set out with patio furniture but unfortunately isn't fully enclosed which wasn't ideal for us as dogs off their lead ran into the garden. The host was very helpful and friendly.

Beautiful seculded cottage with everything on the doorstep

When we arrived in our dated camper there was a lovely sheet of snowy ice on the lead up to the cottage due to it being off the beaten track. Despite our efforts to get up there we simply couldn't, it was early evening and Liz was so accommodating, she came to our rescue and took all of us and our belongings to the cottage. (Thank you again) when we woke the next morning the views from the cottage were stunning. The cottage itself had everything we needed, the log burner was a lovely touch after a cold day outside walking. the town is local and has everything you need. Glenshee ski resort is a must visit, what an amazing scene to take in on the drive there, there was also some lovely little villages around. We had an amazing stay, we will definitely be back again.

2 Night Stay

Absolutely incredible stay! Beautiful cottage that wanted for nothing, in stunning surroundings. We had a wonderful short break on our way up to the highlands with our 2 spaniels, and will definately be returning. Thankyou so much for your hospitality!

Notes for wheelchair users

We found Chapelton Cottage to be very suitable for my husbands wheelchair as there was plenty of room to manoeuvre. Liz was extremely helpful checking how high we needed the table, bed etc and providing a shower chair. The bed was very comfortable and the views amazing. The paths in that area seem to be kept in good order and we found most places had suitable path surfaces for wheelchairs. We will certainly return.
