Carlson, Berlin Hotels

Breakfast very expensive. No alternative to full breakfast which we didn't need.

This is a hotel which comes with the good quality expected from Park Plaza. Its modern and clean, the rooms are fairly spacious and is serviced by excellent air conditioning. The immediate area around the hotel is still developing, but its location is good for the Mitte part of Berlin.

Came to Berlin for a long weekend, booked the art'suite for three guests. This may be more of an Expedia issue, it was only after I booked that it became clear the suites are made for two - they add an extra bed, at a supplement to the price paid upon booking. I spoke to Expedia, who spoke to the hotel and I was assured there would be a third bed. I checked with both in the week before arriving and somehow this was lost in communication as the extra bed came up to the room in the lift with us and we only had cups etc for two for the whole stay.. This aside the room was lovely, really clean, fairly spacious if small for a suite. the balcony is great, shared with the whole 6 floor so there were times we were out and our neighbours were there too, we enjoyed that, not everyone will. The bar and restaurant are more expensive than other places we went to (namely Sphere at Berliner Fernseturm and a great steakhouse in Charlottenburg...)

The staff at this hotel really went out of the way to make sure we had a pleasant stay. They were very lovely people. Anything I needed was quickly provided, and they were able to help us secure a discounted rate at a local gym! While the hotel does offer free wifi, it is incredibly slow, and if you want to check your emails more than once, chances are you will end up paying 8 euro for their faster bandwidth. The closest U station won't actually get you to most of the touristy spots in Berlin, and you will have to change trains, which can be confusing. That being said, most trips only took 10-15 minutes, and they do provide transit maps at the hotel.

Great staff, clean and functional hotel with an Andy Warhol art them. Slightly spartan and unremarkable, but did everything well. Not the place for a romantic weekend, but I stayed there with my two adult sons and it worked well as a base for seeing the city.

Lovely hotel in a great area near ka de we /zoo etc . Hotel nice clean and comfortable . The road outside is very busy and the street noise disturbed my sleep.

Nice central hotel, great staff. Good restaurant with nice, well priced food.
