"Nice room with a balcony and a view of the lake."
This was a great spot from which to visit the lake. Perfectly located. The staff was very friendly and helpful - especially with helping us get our heavy luggage up the stone steps to the entrance!! The room was clean and had adequate space. Loved the balcony looking out over the lake. Good restaurants and shopping nearby. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Bellagio and the Lake Como area.

"Great Location Good Value Family Owned friendly "
The only reason I did not give this a 5 is because you have to walk up 57 steps to get to the courtyard -garden entrance for the hotel and that might not be possible for all guests to do. There is no view. BUT, the location up the walkway from the Ferry stop is great. The hotel is charming, with free WI FI and computer on the first floor, Air-conditioning (not available in some of the more expensive hotels) and it has been modernized in recent years. We had a top floor room with beamed vaulted ceilings and skylight and modern bathroom with a shower.
Breakfast was terrific and served in a sunny room overlooking the garden courtyard. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. If you come by car, the hotel is midway between an upper street and a waterfront street. IF you stop at the walkway entrance from the upper street, there are "ramps" built into the sidewalk going down where you could roll your luggage to the courtyard entrance. If you start at the waterfront road, you have to carry your luggage up 57 steps.

Warm and inviting. A beautiful view of Lake Como and the mountains from our Patio. The hotel is very well maintenanced and kept clean at all times. The Fioroni family took great pride in making us feel at home during our stay.
Known as 'the pearl of the lake', Bellagio sits on the spike of land dividing Lake Como into its two 'legs' and is best reached by boat. Russet-roofed houses in pastel colours spill through a maze of cobbled streets bright with geraniums. The gardens of two famous villas can be visited. Villa Serbelloni, now owned by the Rockefeller Foundation, stands on the site of a house owned by Pliny the Elder. Villa Melzi sits on the lakeshore.
