"Just a few minutes walk from Centraal Station"
Art'otel is close to shopping areas, Canal rides and Restaurants. Hotel is modern with all the amenities. Word of warning when walking about the streets watch out for cyclist, Trams and cars as the roads look like pathways and they don't give way. Also the Coffee shops are different to Cafe's as they sell the local wacky backy more than they do beverages.

"Vacation, visiting, and conference."
Our room had a nice view of a waterway. The comfort amenities including the bedding, shower, restroom, and television were all modern and spotless. The assistance from the hotel staff was unobtrusive, but ever present.

"A great place to stay in while in Amsterdam. "
The hotel is very well located, it is close to the central station and Dam square which are both withing walking distances. It is in a corner street which makes it ideal as it is not in the middle of the terrible foot and vehicle traffic. We found is very suitable for our family as one could walk to restaurants and other places including the Anne Frank house which was approximately a mile away. The staff is nice, I would especially like to mention the manager Alonso, one of the receptionist Lisa and the concierge. They were all very helpful and polite.

"Great hotel, poor service "
The room was nice as a standard exchange (exchange building) king room. It was clean and has small amenities especially a plug converter which was great! The mini was full and had everything needed for the weekend stay. When ordering food I found that were was lack consistency. Initially, I ordered the breakfast and so did my partner, somehow hers came with toast and when ordering over the phone to a member of staff they had no idea what was included and asked me to refer back to the menu each time and advised I ordered extra toast (which totalled to €16). We also asked for scrambled eggs but well done and they presented us with what looked like porridge. The eggs were not to our liking. When the breakfast came, it was cold and this was 'due to the busy morning' - This is not for the customer to bare. Although the breakfast was ok, it sure wasn't worth the €56 considering the small cup of overcharged hot chocolate. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, and later that day ordered a hot chocolate to my room. I expressed my concerns to the lady on the phone explaining that the hot chocolaye served with my breakfast was too small and if they could perhaps make it in a bigger mug, I'd gladly pay the difference. She advised they are of standard sizes and I could order two if that helps. So I did. My hot chocolate arrived, this time in two large tumblers. I bit off more than I could chew. I was confused by the lack of consistency.

"Nice hotel close to all the action "
They upgraded me to the special room. It was in the other building at the back and the rooms are pretty big by European standards. In fact I loved being in the other building since it had its own entrance and there was no reason for me to walk through the lobby no matter how late I came in. The housekeeping works very hard to keep everything clean and perfect. I was in room 2131 and it was facing the street. I love all the street sounds and they do no bother me so for me it was perfect. Loved it

Pocket Guide: Amsterdam Dam Square - Central Station 5 stars Hotels

The bustling heart of Amsterdam, this district attracts hordes of visitors teeming from Centraal Station to Dam Square and its beautiful Nieuwe Kerk (14th-century). The oldest part of town, Oude Zijde, is famous for its Red Light District, but the University and the docks bring a different kind of colour and buzz to the narrow streets. Don't miss the Oude Kerk, the Amstelkring Museum or the paintings in the Amsterdam Museum.
