"Expensive but clean and comfortable "
The staff are warm, friendly and very helpful. Beautiful building and grounds. Beds extremely comfortable, showers a bit weak willed but bathroom very clean. The house rooms are real value for money with beautiful views but I feel the standard rooms are very cramped and overly priced. The breakfast is too expensive.

"Beautiful hotel in lovely surroundings"
Stayed overnight following a concert at the Milton Keynes Bowl. Approx 40 mins walk to the Bowl via footpaths. Hotel was in a lovely village location with nice views over the countryside. Our room was upgraded on arrival and had been recently renovated. It was clean and had nice fixtures, fittings and furnishings and a huge comfy bed. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. Lovely village pub down the road. Would not hesitate to book again.

"2 Night Business Stay"
To be honest I only booked into Champneys as it was the nearest place I could get into our office as all the other, nearer, ones were booked for the two nights I needed to stay and it is a very nice place which I didn't have time to fully utilise. On the first night of my stay there was an issue with the curtains not being able to fully close and I ended up having to hold them together with a Bulldog clip! It still didn't prevent the sun coming through at around 4am though... Personally, I thought the bed was very hard and there was a huge gap between the side of the bed I sleep on and the table where, I would have thought, a set of bedside drawers should have been place - there was one on the other side of the bed to be fair but I prefer sleeping on the opposite side! For the price I'd have thought a cooked breakfast would have been included but there was an additional charge for this - I think the "breakfast" that was included was just cereal / fruit juice / toast etc. If I'm honest I doubt if I'd stay at Champneys again - it certainly wouldn't be my first choice but it's nice enough.

"Excellent, Excellent, Excellent"
This hotel pulled out all the stops, I had planned a lot of activities in the Milton Keynes area for my husband's 50th birthday and as this hotel had the swimming pool , sauna and steam room I thought would give it a try. Before I finished booking the hotel I quickly mentioned that it was my husband's 50th and asked if there was anything they could do to make it a bit special. To be honest wasn't expecting much. When we entered the room they had provided balloons, sweets, a bottle of wine and a card. It was such a nice touch, the way I responded you would have thought it was my birthday!! They even wrote happy 50th on the mirror! I cannot fault this hotel, they really made our weekend. The food and breakfast were top notch we ate everything on the plate and my husband who is a fussy eater was impressed. The staff were friendly, the lady who does the manicure came in early to fit me in. Holiday Inn Milton Keynes, keep doing what you are doing, my husband and I will be back.

"Old fashion charm"
My friend & I had a great 4 day stay. My friend had a small complaint about her room but was immediately moved with no fuss. We had bar meals which were well presented & very tasty, though wine was overpriced. All the staff were very friendly. We used the swimming pool which was handy. The surroundings were very picturesque, with a lovely little church accessible by a gate. All in all we had a good relaxing stay.
