"Saturday Overnight Stay"
Hotel looked good from the outside Parking was a bit of a nightmare, in that the Hotel Car park was full + plus you were charged £5 for overnight parking, on top of the room rate. Reception did give directions to a nearby College Car park, however a spot became vacant in the time it took my fiancée to return from reception. . The day of the stay was hot & humid day 31 degrees, so I was pleasantly surprised to find the room had a functioning air conditioning unit, which had been left on prior to our arrival so the room was lovely and cool. My only complaint was the overwhelming smell of hot fat in the room, can only assume that the Kitchen Extractor Fans cant have been that far away. If anyone from the hotel is reading this it was Room 114 and the approaching corridor. Overall the Hotel, was clean, tidy and welcoming, as was the room. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was good too. I would use the Hotel again and recommend it to anyone looking to stay in Bedford..

"2 Night Business Stay"
To be honest I only booked into Champneys as it was the nearest place I could get into our office as all the other, nearer, ones were booked for the two nights I needed to stay and it is a very nice place which I didn't have time to fully utilise. On the first night of my stay there was an issue with the curtains not being able to fully close and I ended up having to hold them together with a Bulldog clip! It still didn't prevent the sun coming through at around 4am though... Personally, I thought the bed was very hard and there was a huge gap between the side of the bed I sleep on and the table where, I would have thought, a set of bedside drawers should have been place - there was one on the other side of the bed to be fair but I prefer sleeping on the opposite side! For the price I'd have thought a cooked breakfast would have been included but there was an additional charge for this - I think the "breakfast" that was included was just cereal / fruit juice / toast etc. If I'm honest I doubt if I'd stay at Champneys again - it certainly wouldn't be my first choice but it's nice enough.

"Expensive but clean and comfortable "
The staff are warm, friendly and very helpful. Beautiful building and grounds. Beds extremely comfortable, showers a bit weak willed but bathroom very clean. The house rooms are real value for money with beautiful views but I feel the standard rooms are very cramped and overly priced. The breakfast is too expensive.

"Old fashion charm"
My friend & I had a great 4 day stay. My friend had a small complaint about her room but was immediately moved with no fuss. We had bar meals which were well presented & very tasty, though wine was overpriced. All the staff were very friendly. We used the swimming pool which was handy. The surroundings were very picturesque, with a lovely little church accessible by a gate. All in all we had a good relaxing stay.

"Room with a view."
We stayed here because of the location of the hotel been close to silverstone. We also wanted to surprise our 7 year old son who is mad on football. With the hotel been located at MK DONS stadium it was fantastic as we did get a room over looking the stadium. All the staff where really friendly and happy. We even got to go into the stadium by chance, one of the management he let us in to have a quick look which made our son's day. It is also close to a shopping and food area which was great didn't need to go anywhere else.
