"Good location to the beach"
Short 3 day break in Eastbourne. Parking vouchers provided by hotel as no parking facilities for hotel but fortunate to find nearby parking. Good value for money for 2 nights. Bed's not very comfortable and room very basic. No facilities to put clothes in drawers or shelving. Just hanging facilities. Bathroom door had a chunk missing out of it and gaping hole under the door. Not sound proof room or windows, could hear lots of banging doors from people accessing rooms. Not always ideal with young family. The breakfast was delicious, couldn't fault the food and a nice variety of continental and cooked breakfast as well as cold meats and pastries. All staff we met were very friendly and welcoming.

"A party invitation held here. "
The first room I was given had no lights that were working. The room I stayed in was adequate, clean and warm. The grouting in the bathroom was DIY standard and the suite colours, pink and green a throw back to the '70s. The wardrobe was a flat pack quickie and the dressing table top stained. Though, even after these points it was ok. The cooked breakfast filled me up and there was a choice of cereal, yoghurt and croissants. The staff are friendly and available. The hotel looks good from the outside and the odd statues and exotic animals add a hint of madness. Nothing wrong with that then.

"Very clean, close to the beach! Language barriers!"
I was staying at this hotel with a large group of people from work as it was out works Christmas Party! I stood in the queue behind two people who were already checking in and they then stepped away from the desk. The member of staff behind the counter (there was three, a team leader, assistant and a trainee) were doing paperwork then the assistant looked up after about 5 minutes and said "oh sorry I didn't see you waiting there". I checked in without any issues, they advertise they have parking but at 4PM on a Friday, the carpark was full!! There is a parking area about 10 minute walk away thats run by the council. I checked in and went up to the room, the bathroom was massive, the room was quite small. Two single beds, wardrobe and a desk. It was a bit silly really, it they made the bathroom smaller there would be a heck of a lot of room in the main bedroom. Anyway, i stepped out the room and its a bit of a maze this building and not greatly sign posted. I saw a cleaner and I said "Afternoon, where is the staircase to get downstairs to reception". The cleaner looked at my blankly, so I said it again, she then spoke in an Eastern European accent I am unsure what language and I then walked off. Other than that, the hotel was very clean, that I have to say! Breakfast was served 0830-1030 so it only gave you two hours ... you choose off a menu and its brought to your table. Wasn't a big fan of the cooked breakfast, the sausage tasted fake and the beans were cold.
