"2.5-3 star hotel"
Stayed for 25 nights for a work related obligation. No phone/internet for more than a week, staff was friendly, but cleaning staff forgot something in the room daily whether it be coffee or towels et. As a result, you had to go downstairs to get it for yourself. Not in a great area, but if you get a good price it might be worth it. About 3 blocks from metro which is convenient.

"Lovely stay, great location"
This hotel is a great place to stay for business or pleasure. The staff is friendly and took care of a billing mistake I had made early in the process. The rooms were clean and as decent of a size as you're going to get in NYC. Nothing absolutely outstanding, but above average all around for what you normally get.

The view from the room was spectacular and the staff was great . Everyone was courteous to my husband and I ,the first room we were in had a problem with the heater and they so nice when I told them about it . And they took us to another room that was so comforting that the next morning we didn't even went to breakfast . The shower and toilet was clean and the hallways smell so good when you get out the elevator . the atmosphere was so relax . That I have made that my weekend get away place

"Convenient and Functional"
We got to the hotel in the late morning as we'd come off a Red eye flight. The room was not ready but we were able to store our bags and get on our way. The hotel is a 1/2 block from the subway and very convenient. When we got back to the hotel that night, they'd sold out of rooms. We were put up at a sister hotel 5 blocks away and they wanted to leave us there but that hotel was 5 blocks from the subway. So we moved back the next morning. They paid for the taxi for both trips. Once we were back and settled in the Holiday Inn, we were happier. The breakfast was pretty good (oatmeal, cereal, fruit, toast, cinnamon buns (hot), and a variety of drinks). No waffles though, which disappointed my kids. The rooms were pretty small and a little aged but functional. We weren't in our rooms much anyway. The staff were nice and greeted me by name (I had raised quite a stink about the oversold rooms so they knew me!). On our last day, they called us a cab to get to LaGuardia. Be very careful about this. They called a limo and apparently it was a flat fee but the hotel didn't tell me and neither did the driver. He tried to get US$60 from me and it was at 6:30 am with no traffic. I told him no way and paid him $40 and walked away.

"Stylish hotel in Brooklyn - bring your own food!"
Very much enjoyed staying at this stylish and elegantly understated hotel. The hotel is designed beautifully. Only one problem - the hotel has no restaurant or room service. I was stuck in my very comfortable room during the blizzard on January 23rd and whilst the friendly staff tried to arrange a food delivery for me I ended up having to raid the minibar for snacks.

"Lots of love for this hotel"
We loved this hotel. The rooms are great and the location is fab. So easy to get into Manhattan and walkable to lots of great parts of Brooklyn too. Staff were always great and loved that you can get a free ride within a mile of the hotel. Would definitely stay here again.
