"Super close to beach and parties"
It's very convenient to be right next to the main part of Mykonos day and nightlife. Spend all day at the beach without having to pack everything with you, because you're always a 3 minute walk away from the room. There's also a nice convenience store and restaurant 5-7 minutes away, which allows you to avoid the absurd pricing at the actual beach on food and water. Pro tips: Pack your own sunscreen; everywhere in Mykonos (or all of Greece?) it costs 20+ euro. 2) 1.5L water will cost you 2 euro at the beach but 1 euro at the convenience store. 3) Pack a few bottles of booze. CONS: The sheets were clean, but a tad stained. No WiFi in the rooms...paid WiFi at the beach restaurant and free WiFi at tropicana, but super slow. ProTip: restaurant described above had WiFi of decent speed. But honestly, you won't get good WiFi pretty much anywhere in Mykonos...and you shouldn't really need it anyway.

"Nice, Friendly Hotel Away from the Tourist Drag"
My girlfriend and I stayed here for three nights in August and booked quite late minute (so the rates were quite high). After waiting over an hour to hail a cab (there are only 30 on the island so call in advance!!) we finally made it to the Thomas Hotel. This hotel is slightly more inland, on the hills overlooking the main town but set back amongst residential houses and paddocks. It takes about 15-20 minutes to walk down to the main town but it's a great walk through beautiful and picturesque cobblestoned lanes and steps past old white washed homes. Each night, despite the return walk being uphill, we appreciated walking home into the quiet areas with the lights of Mykonos town down below us. The staff were very friendly, our (deluxe) room was quite large, and everything was very clean. We really liked the breakfast (amazing Greek yoghurt and cheese pies), and each morning we'd go for a refreshing swim in the pool to start our day. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking to stay out of the immediate hustle and bustle of the tourist areas and who don't mind a bit of a scenic walk (although you have to be careful on the narrow, winding roads when cars come by).

"Lovely traditional Greek hotel"
Close to a beautiful beach, lovely infinity pool with a amazing taverna at the bottom of the drive. We have stayed here for the past two years and been very satisfied, excellent shuttle services. The rooms are traditional but very clean. I would stay here again ,close to Mykonos Town.

"Beware of where you arrive!"
Booked this purely as a stop-over stay as our incoming ferry arrived late and outgoing was mid-morning. We docked in the new port and rang the owner, Magda, as per instructions but we then had to call a taxi to take us to a midtown rendezvous point, adding 10 euros to the cost of the stay. We met Magda who lead us to the room which was down a steep street, then up an even steeper flight of stairs. The room itself was big enough for two adults and was clean, the town was down the remainder of the steps. Just be aware that if your ferry docks at the new port you will need to organise and pay for your own taxi, arrivals at the old port don't have this problem
