As most people who review The Falcon point out, it's undergoing extensive renovations which probably won't be finished for another couple of years. But it's in a great location, the staff are ultra-friendly and, depending on what day of the week you go, it could be a bargain.
For instance, I wanted to book for Saturday and Sunday and was quoted £188; however, for the Sunday only the price was £54. Sunday only it was, then.
Limited beers on offer in the bar, and we were given free drinks to compensate for first choice not being available and second choice running out after two-thirds of a pint! But the home made sausage rolls are a treat...
I normally dislike having to pay extra for car parking, but it's at a premium in the middle of Stratford so a fiver for an overnight stay is good value (we used it from noon to 1pm the next day).
Rooms are OK, lovely big double bed, bathroom was a little tired and could do with a lick of paint. But good powerful shower, so that made up for it.
Overall, thumbs up (particularly at Sunday prices!).
