We booked on website, Superior King Rm, but our first room not what we had booked and were given twin beds even though our reservation paperwork we had with us was clear. Room was certainly not what we had seen & reserved on-line, after complaint we were given a room with queen bed but wallpaper was peeling, room was musty and window view was disgusting. Bed was hard & uncomfortable, bathroom very dark,(we moved bed lamp in to see). For European visitors, there was no coffee sachets, cups, sugar or milk available, There are various levels of accommodation on their website , so ensure your room is what you have booked
Rooms are non-smoking but that does not apply to the immediate corridor which stank of cigarette smoke at all times as did outside the elevator which has ashtrays. . Reception staff are not all English speaking which can become frustrating, even with mobile apps to assist chinese/english requests, day staff were friendly/helpful, but night staff were not engaging & dismissive to inquiries and concerns. Entrance to SBB Hotel is via a small, shabby driveway, some renovation work is being done, but the outside is not encouraging to guests. We had booked the Conference Room, and had difficulties with translation - staff were helpful but room was musty/smelling & any attempt to open blinds etc was ruled out due to outside views (rubbish), drinks hot/cold difficult to organise. Small Coffee Shop in foyer, but not staffed.
We cannot recommend this Hotel at all
