Avoid generic airport hotel and enjoy Fiumicino
I stayed here two years ago and liked it, so booked it again. The location is great because it is a quick ride to the airport (an early morning taxi took 8 minutes.) Fiumicino is a cute town on the water and for me it is a much nicer way to end a trip than staying at a generic airport hotel. Compared to two years ago, the hotel seemed a little shabby; the carpet on the stairs/hallway was worn, as was the floor in the room. But everything was clean and comfortable otherwise except the water in the shower wasn't as hot as we'd like. Very helpful and friendly staff make it a pleasant spot. The hotel restaurant was closed during this visit but they recommended a great place just a short walk away and that turned out just fine. I'll stay here again.

We were the only people in hotel, front desk left as soon as we checked in. Room was clean and hotel convenient located- easy access to airport, had a great pizza at local restaurant with lovely Enoteca next to hotel.

We stayed here for one night looking for something close to the airport. Such a great choice! Staff was great very clean. It was near lots of great restaurants and bars had a great stay.

Overall a pleasant experience. The main floor was beautiful, especially the dining area. The actual hotel room was fine. The staff was very kind and helpful. Breakfast was included, but we didn't expect it to be, so that was a pleasant surprise. We were only staying one night and then flying out the next morning. When we checked in, they asked if we would need a taxi for the airport and offered to schedule one for us. So that was something we didn't to take care of. The hotel room was quiet at night. It's about 5 minutes from the airport. There is a $6 airport shuttle and they send instructions when you book. I would stay there again.

Entrance isn't super well marked and made for a bit of a confusing entrance. We seemed to be putting the front desk person out during check-in, but later an older gentleman was behind the desk and he was a delight. A few decent food options around, but not much else. Good place for a quick night before or after a flight.

Showed up to no functional air conditioning. Staff was clearly hoping we'd accept this, said no. They found us another room in a hotel in town...supposedly higher rating cost an extra 10 euros. That room the air conditioning didn't work for crap either. I've been staying at Al Porticcolo for 20 years (since it was Hotel Triano)...the service has gone to hell in past few years as the old guy who manned the hotel is gone and the rest of the staff is more interested in running a restaurant than a hotel. It's sad....but I won't be going back there again (I generally spend at least 2 nights a year there connecting through FCO)

Great place for a short stay
Need a hotel between the cruise and airport. This one was perfect. Good location. Large comfortable rooms, A/C that works! Walking distance to several restaurants of all price ranges. Quaint river side working town. Staff and people in town were friendly and outgoing ensuring you found what you needed. 4km to Fiumincino airport. Shuttle or will arrange taxi for you. Not a lot of nearby shopping we could find, therefore the 4 in location.

Comfortable and clean. Friendly staff. Near a fishing jetty and some shops so can eat nearby. However I stayed only about 12 hours to catch flight home the next day as the place is near Flumicino airport.

OK for one night.
we stayed one night before our flight from Rome . this is a very small place in a fishing community near the ocean. There are plenty of restaurant around. We had a poor functioning AC in our room,had hard time to get it fixed. The bath tub was pretty weird!

All the essentials
The room was great and had everything you would need for a short trip. However, taxi is your only way to and from the hotel and that can add up that takes away from the convince of this location. Overall the room was clean and comfortable. Check-in was easy and as the booking said if you pay in advance only tax is required upon check in and your identification.

Two major failings. There is no internet, wifi or other in the room. Only in the lobby. If they were just honest about it it wouldn't be so bad, but they pretend that it is there and it must be your problem. Not so, both my devices could not get connected there, but everywhere else in Italy. Second the breakfast is a joke. coffee and a croissant, not even jam.

Great location and great hotel.
This hotel was excellent. The only drawback was that it did not have an elevator and we had quite a few suitcases. The Manager was lovely and helped bring all the suitcases up the stairs.

For a small older hotel, it could not have been nicer. Every hotel in Europe had slippery shower floors and no grab bars If I owned a hotel chain that's the first thing I would intall in every shower.

Handy for the airport -
I stayed just one night as I had an early flight the next day. NB not all the reception staff speak English, so if you want to ask about transfers before you get here it might be better to email rather than phone (unless of course you speak Italian). My room was comfortable and pleasantly decorated, with a beautiful shower room. NB there isn't a lift, but the receptionist kindly seized my case and carried it up to the 1st floor, where all the rooms are. I didn't have breakfast, as I left at 5am; but the restaurant appears to be famous locally, especially for its fish dishes. I thought I would try it... but they were fully booked, even on a Tuesday. There are plenty of other restaurants nearby, none of which was anything like fully booked - which suggests that this one may be something special. So it might be best to book in advance!

A lovely comfortable, clean friendly small hotel so conveniently located within a short distance of the airport for an overnight. But also set in a charming port/ seaside location favoured by the Yachties. Their fish restaurant has a Michelin's star rating

Best AC in Italy
The rooms are really small, but the bathroom is modern and the beds are super comfortable. It is clean, close to the airport and in a quiet area near beaches and lots of restaurants. Nice balcony with table and chairs.
The canal right across the street. Shopping and restaurants along the street.

THIS PLACE SUCKS
To start, they could not find a key to fit. Used skeleton key but we could not lock from inside. Window was stuck-open and there was a loud party in the Bar-Gelateria across the street until after midnight. Someone tried to get into the room (unlocked) around 11 PM. The check in lady said YES to a shuttle the next AM but then the on duty clerk said we had to take a taxi. All in all, A BIG BUST and you don't want to stay here.

Charming lodging in great location.
A small property within about a ten minute taxi ride ( E 15 +-) to the FCO airport outside of Rome. A welcome respite from the big City hotel, a stones throw to fresh fish dinners at small trattorias and cafes located along the waterfront dotted with fishing boats. The room was comfy, ours had a small balcony overlooking the port. The bathroom very well appointed with both shower and tub. Clean, quite, in a fishing village setting. A great extension to your Rome visit before heading back home.

The hotel is very nice and is located at the port. The hotel's restaurant is of the nouvele cuisine type. The service is quite formal, and the menu is somewhat expensive but the food is good.

Nightmare
We are 2 older ladies aged 67 and 81. The door was locked when we arrived. They ignored us until a kind man on the street helped. The lady there said there was a technical problem, and we did not have a room. They had arranged for a room elsewhere. I asked if it was a nice hotel, and she said yes. The manager drove us there. The place was a dump, a flea bag hotel. We could not stay there. The woman who showed us to the room left. Meanwhile I got us a room through Priceline at Hilton Garden Inn near the airport. There was a taxi number posted which I called. We should never have gotten in it, because there was no taxi sign or a meter. It cost us $25 to take us to the Hilton, and he must have been a family member or friend of the flea bag hotel. So we got a nice room at the Hilton thank goodness. We were so tired from traveling from Umbria, and this was a BAD experience. I will never use Expedia again.

Good Value
The value was good for just staying overnight for the airport connection. The staff was helpful for a wake up call and arranging the taxi. Taxi was convenient and was 17 euros. There wasn't a shuttle for 7:30 am. We liked the location from the standpoint that it was more real life Italy and less touristy. For multiple nights we would still stay in the historical city center. Taxi ride from downtown during afternoon rush hour was 72 euros but Alex was the best!

Nice hotel near airport and beach
This hotel is quite convenient for Fiumicino-Leonardo Da Vinci (Rome) Airport. The front desk clerk can order a driver for only five euros per person, or a shuttle bus for six euros per person, and the drive time is only about ten minutes. The hotel is also near the beach in Fiumicino, which boasts some excellent seafood restaurants, and a cool gelato/coffee/alcohol bar that is open late.

Close to FCO and excellent restaurant on site
We stayed at this hotel because we had an early flight out of FCO the next morning. There is a Michelin-rated restaurant in the hotel that is incredible (also pricey but a great last meal in Italy). The lower rating is due to the bath tub not having adequate shielding from getting the floor and surroundings wet. The room was clean, very nicely furnished and convenient. The front desk service was excellent.
