Hotels near Mount Aspiring National Park

Our apartment was ideal with amazing views of the lake and mountains. The swimming pool and hot tub were close by.

We stayed here for 2 nights but wished that it had been more. The decision to choose this b & b is made easy by all the wonderful reviews it gets and thoroughly deserves, and it is difficult to add anything. The owners are very good sources of information about the area and local activities , Liz, recommended and arranged a jet-boat trip for us one afternoon. I did notice that she asked us for our opinions about the experience, obviously to keep her knowledge up to date.

Maple Lodge is a delight. It would be our first choice whenever we stay in Wanaka. Less than 5 minutes drive from town with superb pastoral scenery and mountains in the distance. 7 acres of beautiful grounds which will only get better over time. Everything about Maple Lodge is of excellent quality, and the hosts are attentive to their guests but never intrusive.

A modern well equipped apartment. Excellent friendly staff at reception. Loved the sauna. Set in a quiet neighbourhood still pretty close to town...easily walkable.

This was by far by best experience with an accommodation yet during my NZ trip. The room was clean and had everything I needed (the included kitchen probably saved me $30-50 over 2 days in meal costs), I could walk downtown easily and do anything from get food or groceries to see a movie, to lying on the shore of Lake Wanaka, and the owners were absolutely wonderful - from the minute I arrived they did everything they could to help me with booking activities and making sure I had anything I needed. I highly recommend this motel and Wanaka as a whole!

The accommodations are clean and comfortable. However the lodge is located in a residential neighborhood outside of town without a view of the water or mountains. Their efforts to make the lodge a high end retreat are laudable but fall far short. You feel like you are staying in someone's back yard.
