Independent, Marais - Pompidou - Notre Dame de Paris Hotels

A short but thoroughly enjoyable stay. The hotel is in a busy (aka noisy) district that comes alive after 10pm - so be prepared for a bit of late night rowdiness. However, the hotel staff were very quick to offer us another room on a quieter side and also recommend locals places to eat and drink.

In a world where global hotel brands dominate, travelers become increasingly isolated from the city in which they are staying. Not so with the Pavillon de la Reine on the Place des Vosges in Paris. The staff made us feel as though we were members of an extended family visiting for the weekend. From our upgraded room, we could see the roof tops of Paris and each morning let in the morning light. Our daughter, who was visiting from oversees studies, found her room welcoming and the luxury of a long bath a gift. The international guests are truly a sign of a loyal clientele, and we hope to return soon.

Staff we're very responsive by email before I arrived and couldn't have been more helpful during my stay. I look forward to returning.

It is an older hotel with older furnishings and carpet, but it is very clean and quiet, even though it is on a large street -- great windows. The staff are superb. The rooms are comfortable. And it is in a perfect location, close to Notre Dame, the Centre Pompidou, the Picasso Museum -- and really, with a nearby metro stop, close to anything you want to see in the City. And perhaps most important it is close to our favorite Paris Restaurant, Les Philosophes! We will return.

The room was cozy, clean and comfortable. It had everything I needed, with exception to clean towels, which were IMMEDIATELY brought up when I called down to the front desk. It was simply oversight. And immediately rectified. The Decour and overall aesthetics of the hotel were updated, trendy and appealing. I would recommend this hotel to family members or friends and I would certainly return during another visit Paris.

I was surprised at just how short of a walk or metro ride it was to just about anywhere in Paris. The hotel is tucked away in the Marais (3rd) but seemed really close to everything. The room size, decor and layout were very well done and the windows/french balconies that opened onto the street were picturesque. The bathroom was also well appointed and modern, and seemed far more spacious than what I am accustomed to in much of Europe.

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay near Le Marais. Additionally, this hotel has an excellent bartender who will serve you and your guests drinks while you sit in a Cabana type structure in the middle of a beautiful garden.

Clean hotel and very convenient.

Hotel very conveniently located to metro, shops and restaurants in Marais district. We spent first night in room on 5th floor, but staff graciously moved us to room on 1st floor as it was hard to climb the steep narrow staircase with bad knees. All the reception staff were helpful and pleasant. Rooms are extremely small (bed takes up most of the space), but as you are only using the room to sleep that wasn't a problem. Would definitely stay at Hotel Pratic again.
