Nice and cheap, right in the center
The hostel is located on the 4th floor with a quite steep stairs so not for older people, children or those with limited mobility. Good exercise for the young though ;-) During our stay they were doing some works in the building just opposite our window and every day we would be woken up by loud banging, drilling and hammering noises that lasted until late afternoon, but it wasn't hostels fault, those things happen - plus you don't go to such a beautiful town like Lisbon to sit in your room all day.

Excellent location, but very basic
It is a proper backpackers hostel (in retrospect didn't suit us). We had the one en-suite room but there was a lot of noise from other rooms and bathroom. If you have the window open there is a lot of noise from neighbouring air-con units. Kitchen was useful but there was not enough cutlery or chairs if everyone wanted breakfast at the same time.

Perfect location, great price
Hostel is clean, kitchen is modern and facilities very good. Not a fancy hostel but it has everything you need. The location is perfect, half way between the shore and the main bus stop/public transport hub (martim monitz) while still being a reasonably quiet street, closed to the traffic so you don't have cars rumbling past the window all night. Also very affordable.

First I'll start with the positives. The loxation is EXCELLENT! So easy to get to Rossio Station, cathedral Se and Praca Comércio. The price is reasonable if you book other than Hotels.. I didn't know about Hostelworld but it was 7 euros cheaper for my room. So the bad is the room looks like it had a leak through the ceiling and my room (#3) smelled slightly mildewy and was cold and damp. Not enough to get me to move but enough to notice. You have to walk up 4 flights of stairs which may or may not bother you depending on how many bags you brought. The cleaning staff was nice and thorough but the shower water wasn't very hot and you had to share the single stall bathroom with 6 rooms (however many people that is, meaning if someone went in there and locked the door, you are SOL for however long) and the whole place was a little cold - maybe not an issue in summer. I did get a space heater the second night. The bottom sheet was really worn and pilled. Breakfast was okay but nothing special - some fruit might have been nice. With all the competition out there, it seems like you could get more for your money-newer, nicer bath, better breakfast and more services. Having said that, if I had paid 15 euro instead of the 22 euro (due to hotels surcharge) I might say differently. So it may be a good deal for the location based on price but not at the price I paid.

Sweet Home. Great staff, all guests were very pleasant and considerate, everyone was respectful and kept the notice down, will definitely be staying here again; felt safe at all times Be warned though, steep stairs, no lift, which for me is fine, but something you should consider if you have mobility problems.

A Pleasant Christmas and New Years in Lisbon
For Christmas and New Years, I spent in Lisbon. Other than flying Delta (Doesn't Ever Leave The Airport on time) and being overcharged by an airport cab, the experience at Sweethome Hostel was great. The proprietor of Sweethome Hostel were excellent host for my 14 night stay. The place is centrally located, very clean, always someone on staff at all hours, felt safe, and overall quite. Anna was very receptive to addressing your needs or concerns and wanted to ensure you had a good visit to Lisbon. The price was great for the accommodation. I would definitely go stay at Sweethome again, but would not fly Delta (always delay excuses and missed connecting flights from Madrid) and would be more savvy with the cab drivers or take a bus.

Intéresssant, mais...
Ne prenez pas de chambres qui sont situées sur le côté de la rue. Les chambres sont mal isolées du bruit. Par contre, les chambres vers l'édifice voisin vous permettre de mieux dormir. Dans l'ensemble, on peut pas se plaindre pour le prix qu'on paye.

Insgesamt gut, das Hotel war nicht voll.
Das Hotel befindet sich im Zentrum. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Leider sind die Zimmertüren nicht isoliert und hört im Gang alle reden und vorbei laufen, auch die Klingel der Hotel Eingangstüre ist nicht zu überhören. (Hier könnte man mit einfachem Isolierband an den Zimmertüren nachhelfen). Bei vollem Hotel könnte es in der Küche eng werden und der Lärmpegel steigt.

Emplacement idéal au centre ville à un prix très raisonnable.Beaucoup de travaux extérieurs en ce moment et une acoustique très moyenne. Grand manque de rangement dans la chambre et salle de bain et matelas un peu fatigués.

Pour le prix hotel correcte
Chambre simple avec sanitaire et douche à partager. Endroit propre, bon accueille. Attention hôtel en haut d'un immeuble sans ascenseur. Très bien situé, et pour le prix on ne peut demander mieux, peut être un chauffage d’appoint quand les nuits sont fraiches.

Hôtel très bien situé, rue relativement calme. Hôtel au 4eme etage sans ascenseur. Les chambres sont classiques, lumineuses, la literie de notre chambre aurait besoin d être changée. Sdb toujours propre mais le problème c est qu il n y a qu une sdb avec le toilette pour 4 chambres. Petit-déjeuner classique le matin. Globalement nous sommes très content de.notre séjour, rapport qualité/prix au top.Pas

Hôtel situé au 4ème étage !!!
Nous étions 3 femmes venues pour aider un centre d'enfants, nous avions prévenu que nous arrivions à 1h du matin mais personne nous a dit que l'hôtel était au 4ème étage sans ascenseur sans personne pour nous accueillir en bas ni nous aider à monter nos 6 bagages dont 3 de 20 kg. Rien n'est noté sur la porte en bas ; un voisin, épicier de nuit qui fermait sa boutique nous a dit qu'il fallait sonner au 4eme... Le personnel est sympa, l’hôtel est propre et bien situé. TB pour petit budget !

- Great location in Baixa, in lively district - Very secure street day and night for lonely traveler - Good ratio quality/price - Friendly staff - However, the hotel is located on the 4th floor without elevator - The breakfast is pretty basic (cereals, bread, milk, butter, jam, coffee, tea) - Some of the rooms are quite old and lacking maintenance (shower head holder broken, worn bath mat)

Bonjour, Le logement est très bien placé au cœur de Lisbonne. Les chambres sont situées au dernier étage par contre mal signalé sur la sonnette . Cela ressemble a un appartement où chacun loue sa chambre. J ai eu l impression qu il y avait tout le temps une personne pour l accueil. Notre chambre étaît spacieuse. Bien insonorisée côté rue, mais moins bien côté couloir. La salle de bain est collective, les toilettes sont â l intérieur. La cuisîne permet de se préparer les repas. Il est possible de prendre son petit déjeuner mis â disposition gratuitement. ( pain de mie, confiture, beurre). Au regard du prix tres faible, je trouve que le rapport qualité/ prix est tres correct.

This hostel has a perfect location in the heart of Baixa, close to two metro lines, restaurants, bakeries, shops, and some attractions. The staff is friendly and speaks English. I stayed in two types of rooms: one with ensuite bathroom and one without a bathroom. Both were clean and rather spacious but very simple without even a chair or a mirror (the bathroom had a mirror, though). The shared bathroom (in 3rd floor) was really tiny, but afaik the other shared bathroom (in 4th floor) is bigger. Still, everything was working, so no real problem with that. The guests can use a communal kitchen with a fridge, a micro, a gas stove, pots and pans etc. The kitchen has some basic food supplies for the guests to use. There’s also a free Wi-Fi, but if you can’t use it, go to Western Union in the corner of Praca da Figueira for a computer and Internet access. All in all, a pretty convenient hostel, but don’t expect anything fancy.

Perfekt beliggenhed!
Opholdet på Sweet Home Hospedagem var rigtig, rigtig fint. Vi overnattede her i to nætter og der var hvad der skulle være - dog er det ikke meget med et badeværelse til seks rum. Vi oplevede at skulle stå i kø hver gang vi skulle bruge badeværelset. Herudover, er der ret lydt. Men personalet var rigtig søde og hjælpsomme, der er køkken til fri afbenyttelse og så kunne beliggenheden ikke være bedre.

No puedo valorar el hotel porque no pude disfrutar de la estancia en él. Pero mi valoración para hoteles.com es un 0. Inicié mi viaje el día 30 de abril y tenía reservado y confirmado por hoteles.com el hotel de Lisboa para las noches del 2 al 4 de mayo, pero cual fue mi sorpresa que cuando llegue al hotel tras haber hecho escala en el Algarve, no tenía plaza. Era puente de mayo, todos los hoteles estaban llenos, os podéis imaginar..... Me ofrecieron una habitación a cuatro paradas de metro, con un aspecto que ni os cuento. Ellos se acogieron a que me habían enviado un email comunicándomelo, abro mi cuenta y veo la comunicación hecha el día 1 de mayo, cuando yo ya había iniciado mi viaje. Fue un desastre, no vuelvo a trabajar con esta agencia (hoteles.com), son unos informales.

É uma pensão muito boa, otima localização. Possui uma cozinha compartilhada mas preferimos as padarias do Baixa para tomarmos o café da manha. O casarão com assoalho de madeira o torna ruidoso, mas nada que não atrapalhe muito o seu sono. Para curta temporada o custo beneficio vale a pena.

Les deux nuits passées dans cette pension-hotel ont été plutôt agréables. Nous étions dans l'hôtel uniquement pour y dormir donc nos attentes n'était pas très élevées. Emplacement très bien, la chambre est sommaire mais les draps sont propres, il nous a également été fourni du linge de toilette (petite et grande serviette / pers). Le reste des pièces collectives était bien entretenues (cuisine et salle de douche). Globalement, c'était correct après tout dépend du niveau d'exigence mais à ce prix là (22€ la nuit en chambre double dans Lisbonne) c'était bien. Pour ce qui est du petit déjeuner, nous l'avons pris à l'extérieur donc nous ne pouvons apporter notre point de vue sur ce détail. Bilan : correct

Lo mejor la ubicación!
Personal agradable y colaborador, nos recibieron y atendieron muy bien. El no tener ascensor y quedar en un cuarto piso no es tan bueno. La conexión a internet fue perfecta, la habitación y el desayuno muy básico. La ubicación y la amabilidad de los encargados es lo mejor.

Nettes Hostel mitten in der Baixa
Das Hostel ist leicht zu finden, wenn man die Tipps der vorherigen Besucher (Nr. 161, kein Hinweis auf das Hostel am Klingelschild, neben einem Erotik-Shop, 4. Etage, kein Aufzug) befolgt. Die Angestellten sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit, das Hostel ist sehr sauber - dies gilt auch für die gut ausgestattete Gemeinschaftsküche. Wir haben ein Zimmer mit eigenem Bad gebucht und wussten das sehr zu schätzen. Einziger Minuspunkt aus unserer Sicht: Die Räume sind recht hellhörig. Da in einem Hostel nun mal ab und zu jemand geht oder ankommt, ist ein fester Schlaf von Vorteil.

周りはすぐ観光地
バイシャ地区にあるので、アルファマやシアードへは市電が便利でした。観光地らしく、お土産屋さんやレストランも周りにたくさんあります。 ただ、ホステルなのでアパートの一室という事もあり、場所が分かりづらかったです。 5〜6階建てのビルで、1Fはエントランス、2Fは美容院、3Fは一般住宅、4Fがホステルになってます。チェックイン時はドアに電話番号が貼ってあるので電話しました。 あと、朝ご飯としてパン(ジャムとバター付き)とシリアル(ミルク付き)がフリーでした。

Hôtel vraiment bien situé. En plein centre de Lisbonne et très proche des transports en commun. Salle de bain commune propre mais préférer la chambre double avec salle de bain. Personnel disponible même pour une arrivée tardive. Cuisine bien équipée pour se préparer des repas mais autant choisir des petites cantines à proximité pour moins de 10 €/pers.

El administrador estuvo muy atento y nos ayudó con todo lo que necesitamos. Esta muy bien ubicado y el precio es muy bueno. Lo único que le adicionaria es un ascensor.

Lits confortables, emplacement impeccable.
Hôtel extrêmement bien placé, à 3 minutes du métro. La chambre était propre et les lits douillets. Il y a une cuisine où les gens peuvent se faire à manger. Tout y est propre. Le petit déjeuner est inclus dans le prix.

Nice arranged, clean and cosy hostel in the center
The hostel is very cosy and with a warm atmosphere. it's like a private flat with a nice kitchen you can use for cooking, a big bathroom and wooden floor. the beds are very comfortable, the rooms simple and very tasteful arranged. everything is very clean, the team is friendly and always awailable. i liked the privacy you can enjoy there, compared with other hostels it's small and calm, which is very nice! the location is in the middle of the center and you can reach everything by foot. i'm sure, that i will go to sweethome hostel again, when i come back to lisbon - and i will :)

価格重視派にはお勧め。立地は最高。
シャワー付きの部屋に３泊しました。立地はとてもいいです。 寝るだけと割り切る人や価格重視派にはお勧めです。 オールインワンと思われる液体ソープがありました。 バスタオルと、タオルはあります。 ドライヤーはキッチンの引き出しにありました。 エレベーターがないのはわかってましたが、確かに４階まで引き上げるのは大変でした。 でも、スタッフの女性が深夜の到着だったにもかかわらず、手伝ってくれて大変ありがたかったです。１階にインターホンがあります。 建物の鍵、アパートメントの鍵、個室の鍵と３つの鍵がありますが、日本の鍵と開け方が少々異なり、かなりてこずりました（苦笑） 隣のレストランのお兄さんが見かねて開けてくれたことも。。。 看板はありませんが、建物の隣にはサブウェイがあるので、目印になるかな。
