The property itself was nice after you got through the gate. The surrounding area did not feel safe. The bathroom sink had mould around the edges. The TV didn’t work

The area around the property is very safe and our guests can return at any time of the nigth without anything happening to them .We also have closed circuit television cameras. The bathroom sink had brown silicone around the edges to be the same colour of the dark marble of the hand-made sink. The television perhaps had the remote control unloaded,but if you had warned us,we would have immediately replaced the batteries since we live on the upper floor. Kind regards Villa la Viola staff

Great loation - suite is very large indeed.
Francesca was incredibly pleasant and extremely helpful. The owners were always close buy and very lovely people.Great location and wonderful breakfast.

Gentile ospite, abbiamo apprezzato la sua recensione sulla nostra struttura. Come lei ha ben evidenziato le nostre camere sono tutte molto spaziose ma non le definirei "datate". Sono stanze arredate con pregiati mobili antichi appartenuti alla prestigiosa famiglia del proprietario. Il parcheggio,offerto come servizio gratuito, è predisposto per accogliere comodamente quattro macchine. Cordialmente Giampaolo

Very nice b&b
Very nice b&b, 2 min away from “il centro storico". Giancarlo and his wife were adorable. The ancient house stands in a beautiful park made of rare and magnificent trees. Though comfortable and very clean do not expect the luxury of a 4/5* hotel. Would highly recommend for a special stay

Walking distance to Lecce
Lovely garden to sit in and enjoy the outdoors. Walking distance to the old town of Lecce for sightseeing, restaurants... Kitchenette was convenient for making coffee. Very friendly and helpful owner and assistant staff member.

Stay in Lecce
Excelent stay in Lecce in lovely villa/hotel. The Garden facilty was a lovely feature which we used. Breakfast with the locals was something we enjoyed, Our hosts were very hospitalable and helpful in terms of recommendations etc .Good location abut 15 minute pleasant walk to old city Defintiely willl go back to both to the Hotel and Lecce.

Great base for exploring Lecce
Lovely ground floor suite providing a haven of calm on an otherwise ordinary road 10 minutes outside the city walls of Lecce. Wonderful Pasticcotto for breakfast in the cafe opposite. Great base for exploring a beautiful city.

I had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel. The suite was very large and comfortable. It might not have had all the mod cons that some luxury hunters might require, but it certainly had the character that I appreciated. The service was very friendly and helpful. It is well situated for the old town and the station.

We had a great stay. Huge room, lovely bathroom, short walk to 'old town'. Sophie and Giancarlo very helpful with map. Suggestions of what to see and where to eat. Great visit

Beautiful room in a stunning old mansion
The house is an oasis of calm from the crazy traffic. It has a secure, gated, lush tropical garden and is a very impressive, stately building. Our room was very spacious with antique furniture and they provided a lovely wooden cot for our baby. We had the use of a kitchen and lounge area which was great. It is a short walk from Lecce old town and we found free, on street parking nearby. The couple that run it live upstairs and were very helpful and friendly.

Stay here, it's nice
Nice spacious room in gorgeous old villa. Good location for the old city. Hosts were exceptionally nice. Breakfast was across the street which was OK as there was a kitchen and tea/coffee available all day. There was only one window with no through draft of air in our room and as it was very wet weather when we stayed our clothes didn't dry out. Otherwise a great place.

Charming hosts in a characterful villa
You can enjoy a room in a historic villa with all the modern amenities . Sophie speaks wonderful English and gave us lots of information about the area. The villa is very close to the old town and yet you can park on the street alongside the villa.

Beautiful House - Perfect Hosts
We were allocated a room on the ground floor and were amazed at the amount of space we had. The walls are so thick that the room seemed cool and airy even when the temperature reached 32 degrees outside. Sofia and her husband were friendly and helpful hosts - we asked for extra pillows and they were delivered within 5 minutes. I mentioned my mosquito bites when chatting to them and within 5 minutes I had a plug-in "Vape" machine and supply of tablets. Service above and beyond the norm. One or two things to note - Although the property is on quite a major road, we could hear no traffic noise as the property is set so far back. Parking is on the nearby secondary roads which can be crowded, but we always managed to find a spot on the nearest road either side of the building, so it wasn't a problem for us. The people in the café that provide the breakfast are very friendly and they have a supply of great cakes and pastries. All in all, a very enjoyable experience

10 minutes outside of historical city center
Great location! 10 minutes from the historical center! We also enjoyed the breakfast across the street-- get the pasticiotto! Hosts were wonderful. Ample street parking. A/C in unit. Bed was a little hard, but we were going for convenience over luxury. Overall it was a great place to stay in Lecce for a night (or a couple). Would stay here again if we went back.

Good location near historic centre but lacking
It is really a B&B dressed as a hotel. Breakfast poor with dried offering. Mean on tea and coffee, which is delivered to your room in a small half filled flask. The towel as well as bedding old. Good location to centre of town but a bit noisy as it is based on a main road.

Excellent Stay
The owners of this Villa were extremely nice. They provided restaurant recommendations and we even received a 10% discount at one. The Villa, itself, is about a 10 minute walk to the centro historico. Security at the Villa is very good, as there is a security gate and then a separate key to your room. Several cafes, a supermarket and a bakery are within walking distance. We found each of these to have very friendly service.

Très bel endroit mais accueil à améliorer
Très bel endroit et bien situé mais malheureusement un peu déçue par la qualité de l’accueil (très bien au départ puis un peu moins bien ensuite). L’hôte était très sympathique mais n’était pas là au moment du départ et avait « oublié » de nous parler de la taxe de séjour, pour laquelle nous n’avions pas la monnaie. Le petit-déjeuner est très décevant, on le prend dans le bar en face qui n’est pas génial et dont le personnel n’est pas très chaleureux, alors que le b&b a un incroyable potentiel (salon de jardin, hall) et pourrait offrir un petit-déjeuner sur place, qui serait beaucoup mieux. Dans la globalité, nous sommes ravies de ce séjour mais étions déçues par le petit-déjeuner et le départ.

Anche a me avrebbe fatto molto piacere salutare lei e le sue figlie, ma avete anticipato il check out alle 9,20 quando era previsto per le 10 per cui non siamo riusciti ad incontrarci. La tassa di soggiorno, dovuta all'amministrazione cittadina, e' chiaramente riportata sulla tabella dei prezzi esposti in ogni stanza ed e' ormai diffusa in tutte le città d'arte. La colazione, offerta in una delle migliori pasticcerie di Lecce, e' una nostra scelta per non vincolare gli ospiti ad orari fissi ma per venire incontro ad ogni singola esigenza. Sperando di averla ancora nostra gradita ospite in futuro, le invio cordiali saluti. Giampaolo

10 Fußminuten ins Zentrum von Lecce, die antike Villa ist in einigen Belangen für meinen Geschmack zu antik, wenn man diesen Begriff verwenden will. Im Bad nicht ganz sauber, schwergängige Armaturen, sehr kleine Dusche, Brausekopf spritzt überall hin etc. Super das Frühstück in der Pasticceria gegenüber, Inhaber recht bemüht, eine Ansprechperson höflich und gut erreichbar. Die 4,3 von 5 kann ich allerdings nicht nachvolllziehen.

muy bonito
la estancia fue estupenda,la habitación tal cual las fotos. el baño antiguo y con poca presión el agua.el desayuno que incluía era en casa en la cocina que estaba bastante bien, además nos dieron vales para una pastelería muy cercana. tuvimos que pagar las tasas de visitante en mano(2€por persona y día) a pesar de poner que todas las tasas estaban incluidas en el precio. NO INCLUYE EL GARAJE,los dueños nos alquilaron uno en la calle de al lado por 5€ el día. Muy cercano al casco histórico.

Thanks for your nice note.The breakfast is in the best cafe in Lecce where you can taste our typical cakes" pasticciotti" with fresh cream inside which are very appreciated by the singer Madonna too and where you can have breakfast at any time you want.

Prés du centre historique, avec jardin agréable.
L'hôtel est situé tout près du centre historique (5-10mn à pied). Le jardin est trés agréable, la maison a beaucoup de charme, la chambre (petit appartement) est très spacieuse. Le parking est minuscule pour une grosse voiture, on aurait aimé être prévenus à l'avance de l'exiguité des lieux , ce qui nous aurait évité d'abimer la voiture de location. Le paiement par CB nous a été refusé alors que nous avons appris plus tard que l'hôtel disposait de l'équipement nécessaire.

Room was spacious. But this is a B&B, not a Hotel. Usually there is nobody at the place to help you with anything, so even checkin or checkout is difficult to do. The breakfast is not even served in the B&B, they give you a voucher to go to some bar nearby. Almost nothing around in terms of restaurants or shops.

Escale a Lecce
Nous sommes restes 3 nuits dans la superbe suite du B&B. Seul bémol le petit dej. n'étant pas servit l'ete sur place mais au café du coin. La gentillesse de la serveuse et les pâtisseries ont largement comblees ce manque. La cuisine n'est pas équipee et ne sert donc a rien. L'hôtel est a 5mn du centre, idéale pour profiter de Lecce.

Le lit était confortable, mais la chambre glaciale, non chauffée, alors que le temps exterieur était très frais et pluvieux, malgré le mois d'avril.La salle de bains minuscule. Le petit déjeuner était une honte. Des patisseries industrielles sous cellophane et de l'eau bouillante en guise de café! La TV ne marchait pas et a dû être remplacée. Nous ne sommes restés qu'une nuit, écourtant notre séjour pour aller ailleurs. En été, par temps très chaud, cet hôtel ne manque pas d'atouts, bien qu'il soit en dehors du Centre historique, mais reste le problème du petit déjeuner.

Ideal für Unternehmensfreudige Kulturineressierte
Lecce ist eine kulturell interessante, lebhafte Stadt, verkehrsgünstig gelegen und ideal als Urlaubsstandort in Apulien. Antica Villa la Viola ist eine sehr schöne, echte italienische Villa mit sehr geschmackvoll eingerichteten Zimmern, einer großen komfortablen Suite, verkehrsgünstig in Lecce gelegen, dicht an der Altstadt, doch ist man auch schnell auf den Ausfallstraßen nach allen Richtungen. Bei den Besitzern Sofia und Giampaolo fühlt man sich nicht als Touristen sondern als Freunde des Hause sofort herzlich willkommen und gut betreut. Wir waren 12 Tage im März 2014 dort und wären sehr gern länger geblieben. Alles in allem: Ein sehr schöner Urlaub, den wir gern wiederholen möchten.

B&B très accueillant, à 10mn du centre historique
Excellent accueil, chambre voutée avec SdB dans une maison ancienne restaurée avec goût, entrée privative, le tout très charmant. Accueil très sympathique. Excellent petit déjeuner avec spécialités fait maison.Parking voiture possible sans difficulté dans les rues voisines. Le tout à environ 10 mn à pied du centre historique de Lecce.
