We stayed here while visiting family, so for us it was just a place to sleep. However it was very nice. Convenient for the M62 so would suit business travellers. There were several parties going on during our stay but we couldn't hear any noise. No elevator to 2nd floor which may be a problem for people with limited mobiity, so request a ground floor room.
This was our second stay at this hotel and it didn't disappoint. The hotel is comfortable and the staff are welcoming and friendly. The beds are extremely comfortable. I can recommend the full English breakfast - plentiful and hot! The restaurant next door is also definitely worth a visit.
Needed a room for one night, and it was fine, once we found our way into the carpark!!! The only 2 concerns we had were the room was very hot, although they provided a fan which was very sensible and there was a leak on the hot water tap which made the tap very hot to touch and the bathroom was even hotter!! Otherwise, clean, comfy and I loved the fact we could help our selves to more tea and milk if we needed from the room near by. Also breakfast was great. Basically for a cheap rate room it was good and will be happy to stay there again.

Staff are extremely welcoming, friendly and very helpful indeed and the food is good. That they accept dogs in the rooms was an added bonus for us and I would definitely book there again.
Rooms are very spacious and although they need some refurbishment, they are very comfortable. The only problem is the noise from the motorway but you soon get used to that. All in all an excellent hotel!

I booked 5 minutes before checking in and the hotel was a little difficult to locate in the dark, however I went into the restaurant/bar and was warmly greeted, then shown to my room via some exterior steps and 3 flights of stairs. My room was in the loft and was very nicely appointed, having only been open since March everything was pristine, including the shower room. Unfortunately in my room wi-fi was not available, but it was in public areas.
The main downside is the parking, I parked on the street 50m away, but had to be away by 8.00am, I understand there is a public car park in the market square, where payment is required after 8.00am.
