"I did read reviews on this property after I made the reservation and still decided to keep it. The property is dated and not well kept. I had read that the elevators did not work at times, but we had no issue with that during our stay. The property does have an amazing location as the beach was spectactular and not crowded during our stay which was mid May. The pool area is small, but the beach made up for it. We did not eat at any of the restaurants so I cannot comment on this. The coffee shop was great for morning Starbucks. Where it fell apart for us was housekeeping. There was some confusion on cleaning and when they finally did come, they left our door open after they were finished. We walked in to an unsecured room and that was unacceptable. They did waive our resort fees, but honestly, our laptops could have been stolen. It is the only traditional hotel on the beach and it has so much potential. Next time, we will try an airbnb."

"First time staying at the Regatta and would definitely go back. Kim and Anne were the best hosts ever! It was their friendly welcome and all the little (and big) extras that made it such a great stay. Breakfast was delicious and happy hour was a nice added touch! They have a terrace with a magnificent view of the sunset. They have bikes available which we utilized a lot. They also have towels and chairs for the beach and would shuttle you there by golf cart if you didn’t want to walk(or ride a bike) the short 1/2 mile distance. The beach was beautiful and not crowded this time of year- late May prior to Memorial Day."

"Super close to the beach and a very quiet area of Folly. We love all the restaurants and entertainment, would recommend bringing a scooter or bike to get around from here. Overall super nice place and great location! "

"Very nice spacious house that was well equipped for a beach vacation. Owners were very responsive and provided additional information for things we wanted to do there. Great for entertaining with many grills and things for the kids to do (ping pong etc). Beach was approx 4 blocks from the ocean (could walk) however we rented a LSV (golf cart) which was very convenient for shops/lunch/beach etc. Would certainly recommend this property as you can tell it is well maintained."
