We arrived on the Friday prior to Easter Sunday. Little did I know how seriously Australians took Easter. I didn't notice in the confirmation emails that we needed to call ahead if we were going to arrive later to schedule check-in. Multiple panicked calls to Expedia and to the office yielded no results. However, upon arrival there was a note on the door to call the manager's cell phone and we were given a code to a lockbox in the lobby for our key.
The room was much more than we expected, although it took some planning to figure out the television. It's on some kind of timer that senses the last time you pressed a button on the remote, and it cuts the power after a few hours. Problem was that if you hit the power button on the remote, it merely restored power to the TV; with power restored you could then hit the power button again and the TV would actually turn on.
We never heard our neighbors or any road noise. There was plenty of seating in the living room, and the heater worked well, for which my Queensland traveling partner was thankful!
They also included a canvas reusable shopping bag.
Overall this place was very impressive for the price!
