A perfect city hotel, with a sense of history. The building stylishly restored, rooms nicely furnished, very comfortable , but with some odd features... Sink in room, not bathroom, only one mirror, charged for bottled water. We were upgraded to a lovely spacious suite after issues with dreadful aircon noise.
The location is perfect, close to a wide range of shops, plenty of restaurants and close to waterfront. Staff were welcoming, friendly and efficient.
Have been staying here whenever we visit San Diego. We always have a great time. This last time we booked a suite for 5. The suite has everything you could need including a refrigerator and microwave and a few dishes if you are inclined to cook. Room was spacious and comfortable. Only complaint would be the all the fees that were tacked on, extra person, facility fee, and parking (we had two vehicles at $9 each)...ouch
We had a great stay at The Dana on Mission Bay. It was very close to Sea World with a shuttle bus provided but also easy walking distance (which we did at the end of the day). We had a room overlooking the marina which was lovely & also nice to spot a seal or two swimming around. The kids (9 & 11) loved the pool and the pool staff were particularly friendly, taking orders for drinks/lunch throughout the day. The waitresses at Firefly Restaurant were very friendly and professional and the food delicious. The breakfast at The Blue Pearl was average & we were asked to wait 10 minutes while a table was cleared for us only to find that there were at least 10 spare tables. The wait on all 3 mornings was too long. All in all we had a very enjoyable time at The Dana & we would stay there.again.
We had a wonderful stay, especially with how busy the hotel was with the Local air show. The Staff was very pleasant. When we checked in, Dora at the front desk was extra accommodating to help solve a matter for us (not any fault of the Hotel). The Room was very clean and the mattress was heavenly. Flat screen TVs, fridge, microwave etc. were all in great working order. Located reasonably close to the Trolley system, if you don’t mind a short walk. On the ride to the airport, the hotel shuttle driver was very pleasant, asked us about our stay and gave us ideas to visit the next time. We will definitely be back.
The hotel is located near all of San Diego's attractions, shops, restaurants and businesses. All rooms have micro-fridges …More
