"Affordable with good amenities"
The hotel was close to the Airport, fashion Valley Mall and San Diego Zoo, plus it is fairly new so it was a great choice for a 2-night stay. They had a nice contemporary look and the lobby level had the front desk, pool and large common area with tables and sofas. They also had some free board games that families could grab & play with. Check in was smooth and they have good amenities (free continental breakfast, wifi, has a pool and laundry facilities). The pool also had a hot tub which our nieces loved. Their laundry facility consisted of only one washer & dryer (coin operated). You can buy laundry detergent at the front desk and they can break your bills for quarters. We washed our clothes a couple of times but dryer broke on our last night. The front desk was kind enough to dry our clothes for us. It would have been nice to have more than one set of washer & dryer in the hotel in case one breaks but not really a deal breaker for us. Overall it was a good affordable hotel that's close to where we wanted to go.

"Comfy little place"
My experience here at Urban Boutique was comfortable and small. In my opinion, I prefer spacious rooms, so this wouldn't be the perfect place. If you're looking for an inexpensive and "homey" stay then this is the place. I love the free continental breakfast.

"Great hotel for conference attendees!"
I've stayed at the Sofia hotel a few times for events at the Convention Center. The rooms are compact, but you don't really need more space when you're travelling alone. The Convention Center is a short 15 min walk away and there are a ton of restaurants and bars nearby.

"Comfortable hotel; Spacious Room; Close to Airport"
This was our second stay at Humphreys Half Moon Inn & Suites. Both times we have been upgraded to a suite due to our +gold status. The spacious room with separate living area and kitchenette facilities offers plenty of room for the family. This time we were there simply for a brief overnight and appreciated the location being close to the airport. On a prior stay we appreciated being close to the beaches as well as the marina views. Food in the restaurant has been good. We look forward to coming back again for a longer stay to this comfortable hotel. We haven't yet experienced the property on a night when they host concerts.

"Beautiful setting;noisy AC."
The resort is beautiful and located on Shelter Island which is so nice and out of the way of San Diego city, but close enough to head in whenever you want. We loved everything about the resort, bay view was amazing and the pool area was really nice. The only exception is regarding the really out dated air conditioning unit. It worked fine, but was really noisy. We couldn't sit out on our balcony when it was running and it made sleeping difficult. We did not ask for a different room or mention it to the front desk - so we can't say how they would have handled it. We didn't mention it because every unit we could see, had the same one and sounded like they had the same noise problem. We will stay there time we will request a different room if the AC unit is bad.
