"Stayed at Warakei Resort for 3 weekday nites and used it as a base for full day trips doing the Lake Taupo Loop and the Central Plateau Mts Loop.
Perfect accomodation for a late winter solo traveller. Reception staff very welcoming and helpful. Grounds extensive and diverse.....7-8am swim in thermal lap pool was magic. Room spacious, everything worked, plenty of bathroom and coffee-tea making supplies. Room serviced daily whilst out exploring. A great place to come 'home to' after out all day. "Very good 2 star property conveniently located a short walk away from the airport and with supermarket/eateries just a step away. Gentleman handling my check-in was very friendly and helpful despite the late hour. Common areas and room were neat and tidy. Bed was comfortable. Room was very compact and no frills but served its purpose as a place to sleep and wash and was pretty quiet. Would stay again."
