We love it here! We’ve stayed before and we will return! Great set up in the chalets, perfect for us with 2 kids. Walking distance to the big carrot playground and into town for restaurants, bakery etc. 25 min up to Turoa and less than an hour to whakapapa. The chalets are easily heated, cosy and well maintained.

The accommodation was a very clean and comfortable independent cabin. In particular, the kitchen, bathroom, and washing machine were excellent. However, there was no view, and it took about 30 minutes by car to get to Tongariro National Park.

The facility was immaculate and well kept. All amenities were modernized. The bed was extremely comfortable, all necessities were taken care of. Will at the desk was awesome and gave me some good suggestions for dinner. I certainly would return.

Cozy apartments and very friendly service

Super cozy chalets located ~10 minutes walk from the center of Ohakune. Two separate bedrooms and a large living room provides a great setting for down-time if you need a break from exploring the gorgeous surroundings. The chalet has a functional kitchen, but Ohakune has an excellent selection of restaurants for people who - like us - are too lazy to cook. We can especially recommend the Mountain Rocks café for breakfast. We were warmly welcomed when we arrived, and given great recommendations of which walks best fit our desires for waterfalls and general fitness. All in all, a terrific experience, and we'll definitely be back!
