Close to everything that we needed. Staff easy and polite to deal with, even when we extended our stay. Good view from the 25th floor. Great selection for the breakfast menu. What more do you need?

Staff were very lovely and attentive. Loved our room and the access to the harbour lounge. Close to all the shops and waterfront will definitely come back.

We stayed at the James Cook for 5 nights. The room was the family room. This room was 2 star at best. Extremely old and stuffed. Patched holes in the walls. Exposed 240v wire. Perfect for my son to play with. Cafe down stairs stayed closed for 5 days. Only one lift operating to Lambton Quay. All day room service menu was extremely boring, we needed to either wait for breakfast or dinner to get anything decent. However if you want lunch you can a cheese and ham toastie!! Both tvs had issues. Shower head was so low with no strength at all. Overall the experience was pretty bad. The room should be taken off the market or have it cowardly marked as renovated. NEVER!!
