"We are a family of four with two teenagers. We stayed over Christmas and loved our stay. We travel a lot and this one will be my favorite. This is a large resort so yes walking is necessary but not horrible if you can get around. We took the ferry to the hotel 45 minutes then a taxi to the hotel. I give the hotel a 9 in everything. It’s clean, the food is great, the beach is beautiful and clean. Staff goes out of their to help and friendly. Lots of activities or you can chill at the pools and they have four to choose from. I have no complaints and would recommend. If I had to give one critique it was the entertainment. It was nice but dated. This hotel had a younger audience and the shows were more for a much older audience. The show was great if you were 60 plus. Again not a deal breaker but it lost a lot of people. The sports bar is fun, pool tables, snacks, and tvs for sports. You won’t be disappointed here! Just remember you need to walk here. Wheelchairs and family members who may have troubles walking would struggle. "

"I was a first-time visitor and the experience was amazing. Check-in with Fernanda was easy, professional, and quick. We spent most of our time in Lounge 24, where Laura, Andrés, and Griselda were the best—Griselda and Laura constantly checked on us, and Andrés took the time to show us around. I also loved sitting at the Daiquiri Bar; Nelsi is the sweetest. I didn’t catch the name of the gentleman working the pool towels, but he was great as well. And you can’t forget the beach waiter, Kevin—funny and awesome. Our housekeeper, Araceli, made sure our room was always spotless, and we loved the different towel-animal creations she left for us each day. Overall, the experience was wonderful and almost everyone we encountered was lovely and kind. Unfortunately, our last night at the Italian restaurant was disappointing, as we felt we were treated poorly. I hope management addresses this, because everything else about our stay was truly exceptional."

"I loved the service we had at the front desk to our maid and the guy that filled up our room fridge with beer water pop. The staff was really friendly and helpful. Thanks again Riu Lupita as this was the second time we’ve stayed there. O yes and do go have à la cart Steakhouse. At the beach it’s GREAT "
