Very nice hotel. Friendly staff and the whole area was clean. Saw a lot of employees cleaning and doing maintenance to keep the hotel in excellent conditions. Pool was very clean as well and the main restaurant “Chula Vista” offered a different menu everyday. I would just say that a few improvements are needed in the seasoning of food to make it more delicious but presentation is amazing!

Upon entering the resort we were welcomed with champagne and helpful staff that assisted with our luggage. My husband and I enjoyed our honeymoon and appreciated our getaway at such a beautiful location within steps away from the beach. Resort has lots of amenities and a great a variety of food and drinks. Highly recommended!

This is a jungle experience! You’re surrounded by beautiful trees and vegetation… exotic animals and their unique sounds… as well as a beautiful beach with 2 pools and a swim-up bar! The staff is friendly and genuinely happy to see and accommodate you. The swim-up bartender, Antonio, is a true professional… quick to make your drink, fun, and entertaining! The restaurants were beautiful and clean, and the food was quite good. The property, itself, was extremely well-maintained and clean, and equipped with all the amenities you could want. We actually planned to be in town for a good portion of the trip, but my family and I didn’t want to leave the resort! It was such a relaxing vibe, great for families and couples… a great mix of both. Thank you to everyone at The Reef Playacar for such a beautiful and memorable family vacation. The staff were helpful and the property is clean but rooms has no view and no office if you work remotely the rooms also have an wall ac unit not central which means the bathroom has no ac, if you expect a great buffet you will be disappointed the buffet has very little food to eat and is not diverse, the, if you expecting to hang in the lobby at night there is no lobby to hang at its 3 sets of tables that’s is it, they have two tiny pools and only one has bar, the front appeal of the hotel feels like a motel, the room doors have big gap underneath you can hear everything from outside, over all the experience will disappoint you also the beach is full do sea weed. They mentioned there was a coffee place but I never found it and said open only for 2 hrs which defeat the purpose, the cost to come here was way higher then 5star resorts I’ve been too, one staff talked to me about my experience and said he will do something abt it didn’t know what but never seen him again. Over all if you used to big resorts this is v tiny and has not much to do. But it’s 5 min driver from playa del Carmen 5th st that is the only advantage.

Clean, spacious rooms, with kind staff. The resort is smaller which makes it less busy and we liked that. The villa’s are surrounded by so much nature it makes a lovely break from the beach & sun, the boardwalks & waterfalls are beautiful-especially at night with all the twinkly lights. Food is pretty good, lots of variety and traditional Mexican options. I’d definitely recommend this resort.
