"Not great unfortunately. Room definitely wasnt superior we should have been staying for 2 nights but only stayed for 1. Breakfast was tasteless and the plates were stone cold. However staff were amazing. "

"The accommodation was lovely although a little tired in places. We stayed in a Geo Dome (D2) and although the weather was not ideal due to Storm Dave the room was warm and comfy. I slept well enough and toilet not far from the dome so no real issues. The thing that let the place down was the service in the pub/restaurant. We had a table booked for 8pm, turned up ten minutes early ordered just after 8 and at 9:10pm we had to ask if we had been forgotten about! We had but the chef reopened the kitchen and cooked for us and eventually got our meal at 9:30ish. A little too late for me but my husband said his food was delicious - Giant Yorkie and a leg of lamb he said was cooked to perfection. Breakfast again this morning was extremely slow and once again we had been forgotten about. All things which can be helped never mind how busy it was. It was heaving last night. Atmosphere made up for it. "

"Breakfast especially the hot food has limited options and no changes during the 3 nights stay. The rooms could be better given that it is 4 stars rating."

"We have stayed before and the hotel was excellent but thos trip breakfast took over an hour and in the end we had to leave before the cooked breakfast arrived. Not ideal. "

"Rooms were fantastic, clean and thoughtfully decorated. Staff really helpful and considerate. Dinner was superb, portion sizes were huge! "

"Room clean bed comfortable. Few minutes walk from city centre. Smell of cigarette smoke appeared to be coming in through bathroom possible from people in next room. Lots of shouting and noise banging on walls reported to staff in the morning so hopefully get issues sorted. We had just walked long distance hike in Scotland and booked in here for overnight rest before travelling back down south so not the best night sleep. However hotel clean comfortable bed. "

"Plenty of parking, the site and environment is beautiful and quiet. Not many staff but they are helpful and responsive to sms /email. Facilities of leisure centre is adequate. The interior decoration is classical but a bit old. WiFi is weak. Overall, we have had a nice stay. Worth a stay in a listed building! "

"Rooms were decent in size. The view was amazing. Breakfast was also decent, however less options for vegetarians. Overall it was a quite relaxing stay. "
