"This is a very charming place situated right in the center of “Darrowby”. The inn has a beautiful garden and the breakfast is tasty and well done. The innkeeper Lynn was the best example of hospitality we have ever had, coming to the rescue when our rental car had a flat tire in a remote area. She really embodies the reputation of how lovely the people are in the Yorkshire Dales, and took extra care to make sure our car troubles didn’t ruin the vacation."

"My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful - we ate in the bar on the first night - tasty food and HUGE potion size. The room was large (twin beds) and both the room and bathroom were clean and well maintained - this is an old building which was part of its charm. The breakfast was continental - had everything we needed. We booked a second night which wasn't planned."
