Downtown Eastside Hotels, Vancouver

"Keefer House was an excellent place to stay on our vacation! It's situated in Chinatown, a neighbourhood full of rich history and amazing food and drink. There's enough restaurants and bars within a couple blocks to keep you busy all week as well as the gardens and other cool hidden gems. Our suite had mountain views over the historic buildings. The unit was very comfortable and had everything we needed for the week. It even had extra blankets which was a big plus. The check in and communication was very easy, we were even given early check in without asking. I highly recommend Keefer House to anyone looking for clean comfort surrounded by character. We will be staying here again in the future."

"Good price point, central downtown location, funky boutique hotel style. Historic motel building, renovated. Minus points: flooing in room was damaged, room towards Burrard Street was very noisy."

"Typically I enjoy the Sandman with my family. But this past trip was terrible. I booked a King suite for extra space and comfort but I did not get that. The front desk should have told us that the AC was out and there was a mini AC unit that DID NOT cool down the room, so they added a small fan to "help" which it didnt. Then there were ants behind the couch, and 2 ceiling tiles open which one almost fell in our heads as we opened the cabinet to get dishes to eat. I made complaints to the front desk, they sent maintenance and he covered the tiles, then told me that the manager would get back to me with a resolution...which never happened. Checked out and talked to the front desk staff and they said the manager is not in today, but they had ALL day the day before to get back to me. And the desk offered me a free meal at Denny's....I paid a good amount for this room, I was half hoping for atleast some credit back...nope...I won't be staying here again. Also the hallways were God awful hot like they had a heater on 24/7, it was miserable."

"Great location to amazing restaurants within walking distance, The staff are incredibly helpful. I checked in late-10pm. Parking lot was full so they offered complimentary valet which I appreciated as I had a long day with work event. My luggage was brought to my room quickly. Price of room was very reasonable for downtown Vancouver. The full kitchen is a bit dated but I had no plans to cook. I would recommend for location and service."

"the Jets in the hot tub were not working & didn't seem like anytime soon that the jets would be fixed. The Keurig coffee maker was horrible...half the time it didn't work! Those need to be replaced. Otherwise the stay was great! :)"
