"Great stay! We will be back. The diving shop next door was amazing. Huge asset to the hotel. The food was good, not amazing, but very good for the cost! Definitely worth getting the royal room, as the rooms are quieter and having seating at the restaurants was very handy. The beach towel card system is hilarious and unnecessary, but it is what it is. The beach chairs don’t lay totally flat, so that was disappointing and not the most comfortable. But overall it was a wonderful budget trip that felt better than we paid for!"

"We had a really great time at this property. Absolutely beautiful. The staff at the restaurants and bars was top notch. Attentive and personal. However, the rooms are VERY dated. And the front desk personal is not so accommodating. It feels like you are bothering them. And Omar was the WORST!! Arrogant and RUDE!! Overall...we would stay again as the price is right. "

"My children and I just returned from a week at El Cid La Ceiba and we had an amazing time! It’s a small resort and wasn’t crowded at all, making it much more relaxing. No waiting for beach chairs or meals, and the drinks were amazing. Best mojitos ever! The lunch menu and pool menu are actually the best food they have IMO. Snorkeling from this resort is unmatched on the island! We went on two snorkeling tours and they were nothing compared to the snorkeling from this resort. We saw 40 different kinds of fish, plus a turtle, sting rays, and a lobster. It was the best snorkeling of my life. There is an also a dock that you can have fun jumping off of. Roger, the activities director, kept us entertained all day long with fun games and water sports/snorkeling tours. His energy and enthusiasm made the trip! He went out of his way to make sure the kids and I were having fun. We have a “garden view” room, which still had an ocean view. It looks like every room has an ocean view so you are good no matter where you stay. "
