"Very satisfied with my experience"
Good value, everything I needed. Helpful staff. Quirky, charming spaces. Even had planter boxes with flowers blooming outside my window. I'll be back.

"Great for visiting Muir Woods"
The interior is newly renovated. Everything brand new, clean, comfortable. Room had a big tv, fridge, and microwave. Beds very comfortable. Exterior is still a work in progress. Looks decrepid but that is just the exterior. Staff is not friendly but that was inconsequential too. Great price for a comfortable, clean room near sausalito and muir woods. Recommend.

"Crappy area of SF. You get what you pay for,"
As the title says, but for the price in this expensive city yout probably can't do better. The family that owns and runs the place is friendly. If you don't know the area, look up tenderloin SF, drug addicts homeless etc everywhere. ...city just won't clean it up.

"All in All not too bad"
The place was very clean and fairly quiet. I don't think I would stay there for a vacation with my wife and kids, but for a business trip it was more than adequate. The price was very reasonable for the accommodations provided. No coffee pot but the refrigerator and microwave were very convenient. Internet access was reliable and fairly fast for a motel.

"Nice Hostel in the heart of San Francisco"
The staff is very friendly. The rooms are compared with other hostels comfortable and clean. Only downside: bathroom not in the room but central on the floor. BUT: besides that the hostel provides a small but good breakfast and a very good price/performance ratio

Decent hotel, clean and close to places that tourists want to go, but there's a lot of weird and homeless people in the surroundings.

"Very reasonably priced bare-bones lodgings"
The hotel is an easy one-mile walk to the Embarcadero area, and is very reasonably priced. Floors alternate with shared bathroom facilities for men and women. I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the shower (pooled soapy water in both showers for all three days I was there). There is a sink in each room, and I preferred to sponge-bath there, and did not take a chance using the showers. The area where the hotel is located is noisy at all hours of the night, so be prepared to hear city noises and partiers all night. The hotel was clean in terms of the rooms, and there is a refrigerator and microwave in each room. You really can't beat this price for this area.

"Cozy and gentle."
The European Hostel is a great place to stay while you find something long term in San Francisco. I got a bunk bed in one of their shared rooms and I was comfortable. Bring your own cover if you are sensitive to the cold.
