Ideal location for taking in all the bars, restaurants and shopping facilities in the area. All are walking distance away from pier 1 to pier 39, pier 23 and full access to the Italian and China town areas
We enjoyed the Argonaut. It was handy for Fisherman's Wharf and is right next to the Cable Car terminus. The hotel has nice rooms and the breakfast is good in the American style. Great base for a visit to San Francisco.
Only a 1 night stay so a limited experience and review but the location is great in this area if your looking to visit Pier 39, Embarcado area, Lombard St and the Columbus St area. Everything is within walking distance and you are next to the transit sytem for the longer journeys. Friendly and very helpful staff who made the stay easier and more comfortable. Will be returning for my next trip!
Rooms were tiny but perfect for two people We got a room that said it would accomodate 3 but would not recommend unless with a child as the third. Shared bathrooms were very clean, and comfortable. Will stay again to try the restaurant. For the price it could not be beat. They even got us a ride to the airport. The licorice and massage chairs were my little guilty pleasures...Loved the old quaint and spooky feeling at night and extremely quiet. LOVED thank you!

Loved the location of the suites!!! There is an amazing rooftop patio for relaxing and enjoying the surrounding area with a great view of Alcatraz. The room overall is a great size and was very clean although a little dated for sure. Couple frustrations, arrived at the hotel and all the parking was gone so I had to park a block away for $40 extra for the night. There is one small line on the booking page that says limited spaces. I overlooked this as there are 14 spaces for 21 rooms so kind of my fault but annoying. The desk person was very helpful the next day and let me know when a space was free so that was appreciated. The room has no air con so we would come in after a long walk in the gorgeous sun into a very warm uncomfortable room. There were ceiling fans that did help but the room stayed very warm and if we opened the patio door the street traffic was quite loud. This day and age the most annoying thing was there was no wifi at all. It existed, but never worked even once and we were on the first floor. Had to go to the Starbucks to check emails. Overall we really did enjoy the suites very much and would stay again and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Very well located between Fishermans Wharf and North Beach, at walking distance to all the Italian cafes and restaurants and also touristy areas like Russian Hill and Telegraph Hill with Coit Tower. And the Trolley-cars station of Powell just round the corner!
"Nice hotel half block from the bay, in the middle "
Very good hotel, nice, clean, everybody at loby was kind and good. Hotel close to everything and in the middle of hotels many times more expensive. It only has two downsizes: one is the hotel doesnt have AC in any room and in the nigth the street is very noisy ( because of the no AC you have to let open a small window and all the noise comes in, it would be hard to sleep in the rooms in the summer. overall I would stay again but not in the hot days
Sea lions bask in the sun by Pier 39's shops at Fisherman's Wharf. Nearby, Ghirardelli Square's chocolate factory gives a taste of the sweet life. At Pier 33, boats depart for Alcatraz. The city and Golden Gate Bridge gleam atop Coit Tower on Telegraph Hill. Literature thrives at the famed City Lights book store in North Beach. Washington Square Park is the heart of this historic Italian enclave.
