"We arranged a surprise 30th Birthday celebration at the Tonga Room for our son and stayed overnight. The hotel and the rooms are gorgeous. We were upgraded to a corner room in the Tower and the views of the City were unparalleled. It was an incredible experience all round"

"I didn’t expect much from this stay, But I was still disappointed. I paid extra for the “deluxe room”. It was a Clean room and the bed was decent…. AC did not work well and the showers water pressure was awful! Toilet was iffy. Definitely needs to be updated to be considered a “deluxe” room. The shower was so bad I couldn’t rinse the shampoo out of my hair (Which was also terrible. I had to go buy some travel size shampoo & conditioner from the corner liquor store.) and the water temperature would not change. They charge you $15 per stay for amenities, such as luggage storage, package handling and coffee and pastries in the morning. (They charge even when We didn’t need any of that, so we decided to go get the coffee and pastries. Donuts were hard and gross). They had cool pool table and games with a bar too, but no bartender…. disappointed to say the least. "

"It was a really nice place. We didn’t eat anything directly from the hotel but they did had all the things that were necessary, but the only thing that we were having trouble with the room temperature especially, at night it would get really really cold and the heater wasn’t working Other than that. It was a really great place. The staff was wonderful and we felt very safe and comfortable. "

"A very quiet stay. Front desk and housekeeping staff friendly and helpful. A great location from Powell Street Station. They provide discounts at some local restaurants - Al Pastor Papi (excellent!), Magnin Street Cafe and Bistro (popular! nice vibe, good service), and others. Difficult to regular room temperature. Gym small and mostly filled with ellipticals and treadmills but I was able to do my routine along with hill walking. "

"Loved the room! Bed was extremely comfortable. Enjoyed the exercise room and wet and dry sauna’s. They also let me check in a little early without a charge. I really appreciated that!!! I will definitely stay here in the future."

"Very old, broken, the rug was dirtierc than the street, had to wear shoes inside. Just old, unupgraded, dirty and low class hotel. Very friendly staff though. They must upgrade."
