"The hotel is a bit old. It's great if you're looking to stay in a property with a historical aspect. Check-in was troubling. I don't recall on the Hotel's description here on Expedia or on their own website that the deposit was $400 up front. I stayed for 6 days so that should have been around $170. "In town for a concert at DNA lounge. I arrived early, parked my car for free, and walked around the city until the show started. There is food, nightlife, and a grocery store within a couple blocks. After the show I walked back to the room. Had another show the next night, walked to the BART station and did the same thing. Check in was easy. Service was great. Convenience was stellar. I probably saved more on parking than I spent for two nights."

"Beds are comfy , no issues with the water using shower, getting ice is a bit odd to ask downstairs, people will be talking and yelling early morning and at late night but this is SF so its not hotel's fault. "There were a fair amount of unhoused people in the surrounding blocks. I came to visit the museum which was in walking distance from the hotel but the staff said it was not safe to walk and to take an uber ( I agreed and I did) "
