"Short weekend stay for a wedding. Room was clean and spacious. Bathroom was also in great shape, nice water pressure in the shower, towels above average. Room does not have a closet, rather a hanging rack with drawers underneath. Bed was comfortable (queen size). Our room faced Powell Street, so we could hear some traffic and the cable cars (very SF) but this did not really bother us. Being on Nob Hill, it was a hilly walk to find food away from the hotel. We did enjoy a late dinner and drink in the lobby restaurant. Also did the b’fast buffet our last morning….not sure it was really worth $36/pp….except for the cappuccino machine, not much different from a motel b’fast."

"It's old... AC not great.. no amenities, no food or drink.. staff helpful.. parking charge well above other parking around the area.. queen room pretty small, not too updated, very plain, somewhat stodgy.. did not sleep well for 3 nights but could've been me... Great location"

"Hotel was conveniently located about 10-15 min walking to nearest bus stop or cable car. 1 king bed room we stayed had a good size bedroom and bathroom for two people. Location of the AC in the bedroom bothered us since it was installed above the bed with fans pointing towards the bed and it was not possible to redirect the orientation of the fans. We had to run it before bedtime to air the room and then turn it off since it was too loud and cold but then room may get little stuffy. They charge $20 amenities fee which we never heard of in any of our stays in CA. This included breakfast which had tea, coffee and croissants and muffins which were not very fresh but edible. We rather have breakfast not included and not pay for it and choose what to eat ourselves rather than eating the same thing every morning. Staff was very nice. Overall we enjoyed our stay. "

"Loved this hotel! Not cheap but would stay there again. The outdoor 3rd floor terrace off the restaurant and bar is a slice of heaven in the middle of a beautiful part of the city-- just short walk to the ocean/Embarcadaro and Bay Bridge. I had an incredible view from my 15th floor room looking out over the Bay. Design is sophisticated and tasteful throughout. Only snag was there were elevator hang ups one evening and the waits were excessive. Only two elevators go to the upper floors so during high traffic times one had to plan for this in calculating travel times/Ubers etc. All in all-- a class operation. I spent half what I would have spent at the (now way too costly) St. Regis. Safe area of SF too. Right next door to the top comedy club, The Punchline, which I love. Saw a great show while there!"
