The resort lacks family-friendly activities compared to other resorts my friends have visited. Additionally, there are limited food options for vegetarian and vegan families, especially vegans. Despite attempts to explain the difference between vegan and vegetarian to the buffet manager or restaurants, they did not understand what we were trying to say to them. We even had a letter drafted in Spanish to explain our dietary restrictions to the employees, but we could still not get adequate food options. We tried to explain to them that we are vegetarians who do not eat any food containing eggs or fish as well, but we did not have many food options, nor did we receive the help we needed to navigate our dietary restrictions. We struggled to find meals and desserts during our five-day, four-night stay, as even bread and ice cream contained eggs. The resort could benefit from learning from other resorts that offer multiple cuisine options to accommodate guests. This was all after we called the resort before our stay and were assured that they had plenty of vegan/vegetarian options.
