Not our first visit and won't be last.
Excellent property. Kids love the bunks and being across rd from beach and playground. Unit is great size for families and has everything you need for a mini break or longer stay. Good wifi. Recommend also the walking distance cafe and restaurant.

We found the clean and well laid out apartment as an ideal solution for what was required, just somewhere to totally relax and unwind, you have the beauty of the beach across the road and anything you might need just over the hill in the city, a lovely spot.

Great unit in mint location
Beautifully laid out and well kept downstairs unit was ideal for our family of four to stay in Ohope for the weekend. Great location in Ohope village with Mahy reserve, the beach, bushwalks, and cafes all right on the doorstep.

Really enjoyed our stay. We were able to bring our little dog along too which was less stressful for him. Lovely accommodation and enjoyed the walks down the beach and to the local Mexican restaurant and art gallery.

Dog friendly🐶
Really is pet friendly. My dogs had a grass area to play which was fenced. My dogs are my family and to go to accommodation which understands dogs will not always be perfect was great. Highly recommend.

What a spot
This place was amazing! Literally a minute walk to the park and beach and cafes and walking tracks.5mins to whakatane. Spacious, comfy bed, great host, couldn't fault this place. Thanks for having us, we will be back!

The Host was there to greet us and make sure everything was in order.. was helpful .. they allowed us to enjoy our stay..the o property was very clean, peaceful to retire to after busy days enjoying our family wedding celebrations over 4days. The beautiful beach n cool cafe's are at the doorstep..so easy n relaxing. We have no hesitation in recommending holidaymakers to stay here🙂👍Joanne

Outstanding in Ohope
We had a fab stay at Mark and Ali’s place in Ohope. Two cages, shops, a Mexican restaurant, a kids playground and the patrolled part of Ōhope Beach are on the doorstep. Apartment was comfortable and clean with everything we needed. Would recommend and plan to stay again.

Very clean and comfortable accommodation. Handy location to the beach, cafes, and Whakatane. Mark and Ali were super handy if we ever needed anything. We've already recommended the accommodation to friends and will definitely be staying again as it was a super relaxing stay.

Just perfect
I am 52 years old, have been in all sorts of accommodation all over Europe, Australia and NZ and this is undoubtedly my best experience ever for a private accommodation. The place is ideally situated at the waterfront, a short distance from Whakatane; the owners were extremely friendly and helpful whilst being completely unobtrusive; the flat is well kept and clean and has all you can need for a stay. Eateries are close by which was definitively an advantage. Due to personal circumstances, we couldn't get there the first night so the owner offered us to take an extra night instead at no additional charge, which we greatly appreciated. Who still does that in these day and ages?! Thanks Mark and Ali, we will be back next year ;-)

This is a downstairs flat under a house, just across the road from the park and beach. There are lovely views through pohutakawa from the main bedroom and living area. The place is very well designed, with bunks in the lounge that our kids enjoyed, with a small kitchen that had everything we needed. Would highly recommend.

To summarize our stay in one word.............. Faultless 50 metres to the small shopping centre, and more importantly, Cafe's and Coffee. Across the road from the reserve and beach, We couldnt ask for more. The unit was well set up for our stay, and was impeccably clean. Very friendly/informative hosts. The standard set by this unit is very very high. Thoroughly recommended
