"The room was nice but a little small. The pictures made it look larger than it was. However, our stay here was still great. The staff was all very nice and helpful. The free breakfast every morning was great. We also had access to a beautiful courtyard where we could sit out and enjoy our coffee in peace. There is also a shared rooftop that you can use that has wonderful views of the city. We didn't know that the Bairro Alto neighborhood is where a lot of the bars/nightclubs are (that was our fault for not doing our research) and when we walked down some of the streets at night, we were worried about how noisy the neighborhood was. However, our room was very soundproof! We could barely hear anything which was great."

"Overall we had a good stay here, it's centrally located in a nice area, the rooftop bar has great vibes and it was nice to have the use of the pool to cool off after a hot day. There were some great cafes, restaurants and bars nearby and it was a good base to explore the city from. However the pool water was cloudy the first day we used it, so it wasn't very well maintained. Also we had an ant infestation in our room which meant I had to leave behind an expensive box of pastels I'd bought from Belem to take home that were full of ants, which the woman on reception couldn't have cared less about."
