"This is the perfect place for anyone who wants to stay in a jungle away from it all. The windows are screens and in the Hawaiian heat it feels like glamping. And the breakfasts and staff are wonderful too. The National park is very close and we visited multiple times to enjoy hiking, beaches, and the historical elements. The snorkelling/swimming area was also very busy. And the ranch offered snorkel gear and other things to make sure you could make the most of your time there! "

"The room was advertised as a two bed but it wasnt specified to be a one bedroom studio till we arrived. Provided a loner bed at a extra expense so they accommodated us but need to be more clear on size and rooms."

"Property was overall OK. a few inconveniences such as you need to haul away your own garbage to an offsite dumpster that is a little hard to find, quite time from 10PM to 8AM is understandable but when they say quite time that includes talking louder then a whisper and even the ceiling fan was asked to not be used during that time frame. The pictures of the property are a bit misleading. The pic with the red umbrella was probably taken some time ago before the trees across the street grew taller. The shared balcony looks nice but you would need to be OK with the fact that it has large open windows into the home where the owner lives so although a shared space, we never used it. Location to the ocean, down an extremely steep road, and to other areas on the island was great and it was a safe neighborhood. We had extreme weather during our visit and the ceiling had a large (about 18" round) water bubble on the ceiling that leaked into the living room into a garbage can all night. This was out of the owners control and she did provide a larger garbage can for the water to drip into but I feel she could have done a little more to make it right. "

"This was a great place to stay. We were looking to avoid the touristy and resort areas, and this was perfect. We were able to explore the Big Island from here.Kids loved Earl Grey and Rama, the cat and dog. And of course, they loved the pool and hot tub. The view was amazing."
