Hawaii Island Honeymoon Holidays

Upon arrival, check in desk staff was too friendly. Curtly told we arrived before 4 pm check in time. We acknowledged that and went to find lunch. Upon our return at 3 pm, the room was ready. They did not call or text to inform me of that as promised. Room was spacious but old fashioned. Pool was beautiful. Pool attendant was not friendly. He reprimanded me for moving my lounge chair/umbrella to get better shade. Apparently that was forbidden even though the earlier attendant was helping others do that. In summary, the hotel is probably the nicest in that area. The staff could use training in better hospitality. Not sure if there is any nicer hotel on the Big Island, but I’d definitely research that.

The rooms were clean with great views. No amenities past 9pm. Everything shuts down. Cannot even buy a water.

Beautiful location, overall clean and very friendly and helpful staff. My only issue was the restroom in our room did not have locks or sold doors and it didn’t offer much privacy in their design. Other than that everything was wonderful.

The property is beautifully maintained and very serene. I loved being close to both the ocean and the pool with the little one being the priority. The staff go above and beyond and the kids camp was wonderful for my granddaughter. Areas that need improvement, the good is not of the caliber it should be. Management spoke to me and I know that they are trying, but it was a disappointment, especially when you’re so far from other dining establishments. Housekeeping also fell down in quality after the first 4 days. Coffee supplies but refilled, towels not replaced and the room wasn’t cleaned or vacuumed on several occasions. One day, the room was made up and turn down showed up at the same time, 4:30. Overall, a beautiful property
