"I would have given this hotel a 5 across the board"
I loved this little cottage feeling room to stay in during the Maui Film Festival. I loved they had paddle fans and the option to keep the window open instead of just having AC. AC gives me congestion issues and so many hotels only have it. It's such a nice option to be able to turn the AC and it's noise off and just have the air. The desk right next to the window with the light and air was perfect for me having to do computer work but still wanting to enjoy Maui's beauty. A problem for me, though, was the noise coming through the walls from upstairs. Another unexpected happening, was the port-a-potty facilitators coming to drain the port-a-potties during the afternoon. The smell and noise went on for quite a while in the afternoon. It's a necessity, and I don't know how it could be arranged to happen at a time when less guests would be around to have to endure it, but it might be worth looking into. I would recommend this hotel to other kama'aina for sure but maybe I would stay on the 2nd floor of the units instead of the ground floor next time for noise issues. Aloha for your warmth. Everyone was really friendly and I loved having a beachside restaurant with healthy happy-hours and breakfast right next to the hotel. For a single woman traveler on business and wanting to include some leisure, this was a big win:) Way more pluses than minuses to this lovely little spot on the beach. Aloha!

    "Clean and comfortable hotel "
We were very pleasantly impressed with the Maui Coast Hotel. The rooms are very clean and the beds are extremely comfortable. The staff was always friendly. The hotel is directly across the street from the beach and within walking distance to a grocery store and restaurants. The pool area is lovely with a few different sitting areas. Lots of free parking on site. Free wifi which always worked well. Hotel is full of airline crew. This is a good sign too! I often get grossed out in many hotels but I cannot say anything negative about the Maui Coast. We will definitely stay there again next time.

    "Paradise on the Beach"
We stayed at this hotel for a week on our Honeymoon. I had requested a room with a beautiful view of the mountains, and they gave us exactly what we wanted, with an added bottle of champagne to help us celebrate! We ate at the restaurant by the pool, as well as the one by the ocean. Both had excellent food and quick service. The only disappointment was the amount of noise at night - there were many kids and they were up late yelling and screaming around the hallway on two different nights. One night we could not sleep and had to call security. They came up and talked to the kids, but as soon as they left the noise resumed.

"Nice hotel but food was average but pricey"
Hotel and staff were awesome, but the price of food was rediculous, especially the breakfast buffet... $90 for 2 people and the options are slim. Definitely stay at this resort, but rent a car and drive for food. Great restaurants within 15 min.

    "Some quick comments"
A very nice hotel with a lot of activities to please most people. A bit crowded but the rooms are spacious. The main pool is a good size but the other pools are rather small. The staff was very helpful and the property has everything you would need. The check in process is crazy but once you're checked in you can enjoy the place. Good restaurants and lot's of live music but meals are a bit pricey. Still it's one of the best places in Waikiki.

"Classic Luxury Hotel - Loved every moment here!"
We had our wedding ceremony and our reception here last month! We were greeted with leis upon arriving and warm Aloha hospitality that hearkens back to the glory of classy Hawaiian hotels of yesteryear (such as the Royal Hawaiian). A bottle of champagne gifted from the manager was waiting for us in our room! I grew up in the neighborhood and my family & relatives have always been patrons of this hotel. We have celebrated many birthdays, special occasions and had brunch and dinner at the hotel's restaurants countless times, but this is my first time actually staying here. They were renovating the front-desk/check-in area and moved desks into the grand lobby, so it was kind of crowded, but that was fine. Service was top-notch and super-attentive. There were loud drilling noises on my wedding day when the bridal party started to get ready and all it took was a phone call to front desk and literally 2 min. later the noise stopped completely. They even called 20 min later to follow-up to make sure we were happy, which was impressive, and they also sent up delicious hand-dipped choc-covered macnuts! Staff was amazing and helpful. Loved the chill and relaxed vibe of the resort & beach. Dolphins seemed happy and the kids all loved the marine creatures (honu/sea turtles, sting ray & tropical fish). I also liked the live jazz on the Veranda. All of our guests loved the resort and had such a memorable time. Can't wait to come back!
