"We enjoyed an idyllic adventure at the Beautiful Edge of the World bed and breakfast. Kurt and Caena were the ideal hosts. They provided us with a welcoming atmosphere into their home. The breakfasts provided were healthy and delicious. The setting on a coffee plantation enabled us to enjoy nature while relishing their warm hospitality.
The only challenge is that to reach the inn requires driving on unpacked roads. It was raining when we first arrived and our GPS stopped working. We called and Caena drove out to meet us and lead us to her home. The next day she led us out to the highway to ensure that we were familiar with the route. After overcoming this minor problem, we had a marvelous time at the Beautiful Edge of the World, which truly lived up to its name."
"The beauty of the property is amazing. We were fortunate enough to have a week of relaxing and enjoying the comfort of this beautiful house. Tammy was amazing. The kitchen is work of art. There was nothing it did not have. I would recommend this vacation property to anyone. Thank you, Tammy for knowing exactly what needs to be available. "

"My husband and I went with our three children, son in law and our three grandkids. The house was perfect for the 9 of us. We spent a lot of time in the morning and evening on the lanai. It was so peaceful and there is Manini Beach Park where you can get in the ocean that’s about a 5 minute walk. Some mornings we would walk down Manini Beach road just a little ways and sit on the rocks and drink our coffee and watch the ocean. Dharma and Catherine were amazing caretakers. We didn’t get the opportunity to meet Anna because she was out of town but before we left to go to Hawaii she made sure we had all the information we would need to find the house and get in. It made it really easy to find with her directions. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary and Dharma and Catherine brought us some beautiful flowers and a card. Our daughter celebrated her birthday and they dropped off a card for her too. If we had any questions they were always super friendly and helpful. There was a tsunami warning and we couldn’t go back to the house for almost 9 hours but Dharma and Catherine made sure we new about the tsunami warning and continued to check on how we were doing and to keep us updated. We so appreciated them they make you feel like family. This is a wonderful place and we would highly recommend staying here."
"After a disappointing Kona Condo stay, this was a delight. I enjoyed the peacefulness, sounds of the jungle, and the coziness of the cottage. When we arrived we were greeted by two large parrots on the owners property, and a gaggle (?) of turkeys! various cats were spotted but kept their distance. The cottage was clean and inviting. Grocery and coffee shops within a few miles. The koi ponds and resident turtles were lovely. The Cottage itself had most everything one needs. The instructions/manual were VERY detailed, which was appreciated. The bed was very comfy, and shower had great water pressure and stayed hot without issue! We were there for a Tsunami warning, and one of our hosts, Jeff, made sure to check on us to make sure were were okay and comfortable. I stayed with my 12 year old son, who got a bit bored (no TV!) but overall also enjoyed the place. It would be ideal for a romantic getaway. "
"Barbra and the rest of the staff are very friendly. They gave great suggestions of things to do and places to eat while on the island. The room was clean and beautiful. If you like being surrounded by nature, this is a great spot."
"Amazing location - close to Kealakekua Bay and just a short drive to Honaunau (Two Step). We saw an incredible variety of marine life, including turtles, mantas, octopus, dolphins, eagle rays, eels, and more. The accommodations were simple, comfortable and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed. We cooked meals using the toaster oven and induction burner, and loved picking up local goodies: coffee, fresh fruit, banana bread, and poke from nearby farmstands and shops. The bed was medium-firm, and the sheets and coverlet were especially soft and cozy. The sounds of tropical nightlife (especially the Coqui frogs) can be loud, so if you're a light sleeper, white noise or earplugs help and I slept very well. Even on warmer nights, the fans and louvered windows kept the space cool and private. We never needed to use the AC. If you're seeking luxury or vibrant nightlife, this might not be the right fit. But if your ideal trip includes snorkeling, kayaking, and the occasional drive to volcanoes or up north, this is a fantastic place to stay. Thanks again, Alice!"
"I've travelled a lot over the last 4 decades and Kona Palace has the best view of any property I've stayed in. It is cozy and secluded and it was amazing just to sit on the patio and watch the sun come up from the side of a mountain! The surrounding foliage is beautiful and the accomodations are comfortable. The cherry on top was finding we had a hot tub!"
