"Yes, these rooms are above a pub but you can’t hear any noise. The appointments were like that of a luxury hotel. The staff worked behind the bar at the pub for the most part and they were extremely responsive to any request. Not sure many tourists find their way to this particular town, but if you’re anywhere near Scarborough, this is the place to stay."

"A lovely little hotel situated near Peasholm Park. 10 minutes from North Bay and a scenic 35 minute walk or 5 minute bus ride to South Bay (the more lively bay). Staff were excellent and the hotel is spotlessly clean.
Food wise, do note that this hotel caters predominantly for the recently retired crowd (a very reasonably priced but very British menu such as kippers for breakfast and syrup sponge pudding with custard for pudding) We were the only people under 65 that I saw during my October...

Instead of my usual "budget accommodation" I "splashed out "and spent two nights at the Talbot Hotel as a short break during a drive from the Scottish Highlands to Midlands. Well worth every penny. Extremely comfortable bed, lovely décor and a brilliant shower. Ideal location, close to a number of tourist attractions and Whitby and a short walk from the main street of town. Plenty of parking. If visiting Yorkshire I would definitely stay here again.

Sadly we had to postpone our stay until next year as were attending a wedding that has also been postponed until next year. I rated excellent as it was so easy to contact Coachman Inn and rearrange our stay.

Brilliant place to stay in Scarborough and we are so glad we chose The Cordelia. Our room was fantastic with plenty of space and beautiful bay windows. The breakfast was outstanding and we loved the haggis which replaced the traditional black pudding. Will definitely stay here again when visiting Scarborough.
