"Lovely designed rooms, felt very expensive and a touch of elegance too with bath salts robes etc…
Situated in a beautiful village with a lot of history, convenient to Scarborough too, a 40 min walk or a 4 minute drive away from the north side coast. "

"The property is well maintained and very clean , we found the room spacious and comfortable.
The breakfast was excellent with a good choice of items to order.
The host James was very professional and happy to advise on the area .
Close to the cliff lift to the spa, and we found the area nice for walking around Scarborough.
The public transport links are close by , you can easily leave the car parked and enjoy a driving free break.
We would fully recommend the waves for a short or longer break"

"Quirky b&b with a wonderful little cafe downstairs. Service not the fastest but food very good.
Only quibble was the very low beams in the top floor bedroom and the window didn’t open very well."
"Only stayed the one night, used as a base to go to the Open Air Theatre, but everyting was more than accomodating to our needs, super comfy bed, friendly staff and quiet to."

"We had a lovely stay at The Russell with friends and family. The owners were friendly, attentive and helpful. The family room (no 6) we stayed in was very comfortable, clean and spacious. Lovely walk in shower with adequate space in the en-suite. Comfy beds, big bay window looking out toward the trees. The lounge area downstairs was very nice and comfortable with a selection of board games for families. There was also a small bar which was open in the evenings and run by the owner who was more than happy to chat and had a large selection of drinks. The breakfast was delicious- very hearty and freshly cooked which set us up for the day ahead. The location of the property is ideal for walking to the North Bay and down through the park, We parked on the driveway and it felt a very safe area with no unwanted noise on an evening.
Will definitely be visiting here again! Thank you very much for your hospitality. "
"Stayed at here before as is prefect location in center of Scarborough with many areas within easy walking distance. Lovely hotel with staff second to none. Reasonable prices despite height of summer season and can get extremely busy. Parking can be a pain but other than that… highly recommended "
"I liked the location of the hotel I liked the room it was a family room with everything you needed in the room staff was very helpful and friendly and the room was very clean and comfortable "

"We enjoyed a great 5 days at The Sands. The accommodation was spacious enough for the three of us (2 adults and a toddler). The kitchen is well equipped for self catering but there are plenty of restaurants and takeaways within close proximity. The bed was extremely comfortable and everything was spotless. It is a fantastic location, with the gorgeous beach just a few steps away. Despite staying in peak season, it was really quiet at night and the livelier South Bay can be reached by bus or foot (if you like a walk). There are lots of toddler friendly points of interest near by such as the North Bay Railway, Splash park and Sealife Centre."
"Excellent accommodation. Nice room (containing mini fridge with fresh milk replaced daily) with view over lovely interesting garden. Efficient Wi-Fi. Very friendly owners. Outstanding breakfast - quality food cooked to perfection. Great location next to the park with lots of parking."
