"Room 322"
We stopped in room 322.  The room was really nice and your establishment is fantastic.  That was until the night. Nothing wrong with the hypnos bed but the noise was unbearable.  We knew it was windy outside but the constant whistling through what all i can guess is a damaged seal in a window was annoying.  It was like 8 hours of listening to a kettle whistling on a hob totally unbelievable for an 4 star hotel costing over £100 a night not fair and acceptable.  My wife mentioned this to the receptionist on checking out receiving a response of "thats a shame". I couldnt wait to get home to have a few hours sleep in peace.

"They did my request"
Well.. I traveled to Chesterfield from North Wales. And we don't see many city slickers like that up here, but when I got there everything was an experience shared with that of Alice in Lewis Carroll's "Alice in Wonderland". I drove past the hotel initially as it is located upon a roundabout, I thought to myself that this looks somewhere luxurious. As I was rearing with anticipation to park and get out the car to see in interior of such a place, I was unable to find a place due to such a high demand of people wishing to visit this "Heaven on Earth", however, they had foreseen this problem and succeeded in impressing me further with additional parking to the rear. This again made me very happy due to the innuendo inside there. When I made my way inside the hotel, everything was laid out in the perfect way to demonstrate how upper class this reasonable rated hotel really is. Now we move onto the journey upstairs, I say journey when I really mean experience. Inside the lift, it was just a long enough ride to ponder upon life's many treasures and downfalls, but not too long as to ponder upon the terrors of the nighttime and what the human race has done with it's gift to our planet. We come to the door, what looks like it was made of solid oak, I swiped the key through the slot. Thus came the little green light of entry. I entered the room fearing if they had furfilled my request. When I put the key into the electric, I found a picture of Matthew McCounahey on the bed.

"Great facilities, very average food. "
Overall it was a lovely stay, the room was nice and clean and had a nice view of the gardens. Facilities and staff were great, although the rooms could do with thicker walls and doors for those who want a lie in in the morning! We used the tennis court (which could have done with a spruce up, but it's quite late in the year so they could be forgiven for that), spa (sauna, steam room, jacuzzi) gym, golf course and had a massage (Natalie was amazing - highly recommended her and she was lovely too). Loved the buildings and grounds, very picturesque. HOWEVER, the food was very mediocre which was a bit of a shame. We tried ribs, soup, pizza (v small for the price), linguine and none of it was very good. We didn't eat in the priory restaurant at dinner though so can't comment on that. Breakfast was good, large selection, full English and omelette stand but it's £15pp if you have the room only booking - quite a lot for breakfast! Overall, really enjoyed the stay and would go back. We didn't go for the food but it would have been the icing on the cake.

"Very nice hotel with friendly staff. "
We had no expectation of the hotel and were very pleased with both the welcome and the place in general, in fact we were sorry that our stay was so short.

"Great hotel. Welcomes Cyclists"
Staying one night while cycling from London to Leeds, I checked with them that there would be somewhere for us to keep our bikes. On checking in was told we had a ground floor room and the bikes could go in that. Food was excellent, staff friendly and very helpful.

"Lovely hotel near Chatsworth House."
Very comfortable room , excellent service and friendly staff. Luxurious surroundings and altogether a very relaxing experience, extremely quiet hotel, no traffic noise, with stunning views over fields and parkland. Highly recommend this hotel, cannot find any fault with it at all, was everything and more than I would expect.
