"We had a lovely stay at The Pig of Lead last week. The whole experience was great, from the warm welcome, the superbly comfortable room to the delicious breakfasts. It is a great base from which to explore the area, I can’t recommend it highly enough. "

"A very impressive building. Bathroom a bit tired looking and taps stiff or leaking but a lovely location in the heart of Buxton. Only real gripe was that I was asked to pay extra for everything. Parking was an extra £5.00, use of the pool Is extra and breakfast was £24 extra! So I ate elsewhere. "

"The hotel is close to Derby Train Station and it’s an easy walk into Derby City Centre as well. Only downside was the lift was out off order and it was my wife staying and she has health problems which made it a bit hard fir her to get to her room but apart from that she said she will use the Hitel again. "Our party consisted of 4 couples. We were a lot to cater for at dinner and yet the team looked after us for the two nights absolutely brilliantly. Best customer service I have seen in a very long while. In addition the rooms were well laid out, spacious and really comfortable, and the cooking was first class. Terrific stay in all respects. "The only thing I can criticise on is the wall sockets . The table in front of the mirror is to high so your unable to use a plug in the socket unless you move the table out from the wall"
